Looks like she's been looked after OK - photos show her out on walks and they've cared enough to have the tumour removed. I wonder if someone could maybe point the owner in the direction of some dog forums or some charities that may be able to help? If a volunteer dog walker could help them out, maybe she could stay in her home.. :? They don't look to be too far from me, I can't really spare the time to help regularly with my two and the evening courses I'm doing, but I could possibly help with transport if a rescue can step in.
try recommending to them the cinnamon trust. They are a charity which specialise in helping people who are housebound keep their dogs by employing voluntary dog walkers to come in and take them out for walks if the owner is unable too. It saves many elderly or very ill owners having to give up their companions just as they are not as active as they used to be. http://www.cinnamon.org.uk/
if this is the one i think it is then the guy has decided to keep her, he emailed me and i offered help but i think i pissed him off. I found out he was muzzling the bitch when he was out to stop her barking. My reply was maybe a little blunt but i gave him loads of link to get help to train her as from what they were saying she suffers from SA.
