(The title was meant to say 'guesses' ) Anyone have any guesses to what these dogs are crossed with? I only know which actual cross one of them is, the others are a complete mystery Molly (B&W) Willow Barney (he is at least 20 and used to be a really gorgeous red-y brown colour) and just for the sake of it, Jake Just thought it would be fun to see what people think
I'm sure Mollie has some collie in her. Not sure what else though! Little Willow could be Cairn and Scottie? And the wonderful Barney I reckon Jack Russell and Patterdale/Fell. As for Jake, a whole lot of very handsome breeds went into making one very handsome boy!
Definite bit of Rottie in Jake, they're all gorgeous though! Barney looks in amazing shape for his age!
Is it possible Jake has some Basenji in him? Something about him (now that he's all grown up) reminds me of a Basenji... tail, probably... Willow looks like a Carin cross, to me, Barney looks like a JRT cross (and looks amazing for 20!) I would guess collie cross for Mollie
Yep, Willow is half Cairn ;-) The rest are unknown but most people say BCx for Molly but there must be something else in there much smaller... And Barney is probs JRT but i always wonder what the rest is And you have just made Jakes head huge Thanks yeah, rottie is a possibility for Jake and Barney amazes me with his age... I have thought GSD for Jake for a while now, and a woman i know says it too and her dad used to breed them. She is adamant that he has GSD in there somewhere. Yep, Willow is half Cairn... anyone guess what the other half is?? ;-) No idea with Molly, if there is BC there must be something much smaller mixed in too. Yeah, it is possible Jake has Basenji in him... they are a breed i dont really see around here though so not surely how likely it is but it is still a possibility. The tail definitely hints at Basenji And as above the other three ;-)
Willow is indeed a Cairn x Westie she is the only known cross Not sure about Molly but she is a bit wee to be a Lab x Collie, she is much smaller than both breeds. Her owners think she has Whippet mixed in there with something... probably BC. Although, she is smaller than a Whippet too
