I was just wondering about this lately. My neice who has a husband, three kids (Charlie, the youngest, is seven) and three chihuahuas tells me that her male chi Coco who is now... three?... pees in the house all the time. Coco is not neutered because he is being used as a stud dog. I was looking at chihuahua sites recently and wondered if his constant "peeing" is actually marking. My neice may not be able to tell the difference between peeing and marking (I'm afraid she didn't do much research) and I haven't been able to "witness" the "terrible act" myself. What is the more likely, do you think? Thanks, Jay
I guess its more than likely just marking, even more so if he is living with entire bitches... Shame she feels she has enough knowledge to offer her dog at stud, if she hasnt done much research herself. :?
My daughter's male Chihuahua, entire, just over a year old, isn't as bad as Coco, but he does wee in the house given half a chance. It does seem to be territory marking, maybe sparked off by the presence of our entire male, Tai.
I was thinking the exact same. I believe it's marking, especially as you've said he is a stud dog and theirs two bitches in the house.
