Shar Pei can have a lot of health problems so do your homework if you're leaning towards one. Some are very heavily wrinkled and the eyes can be obscured by skin, resulting in surgery. That's why some insurance companies are reluctant to cover them, nothing to do with temperament.
I have had American Bulldogs for many many years, they are absolutely fine as long as you are sensible. Ours have all lived alongside other dogs easily. Brought up correctly and not just as a status symbol, they are a very loyal dog that should not cause any problems whatsever. Ours pictured goes picking up on a shoot, which initially raised a few eyebrows lol. I have always favoured the Scott Type, but that is just my personal preference
i knew they were thinking of BSL for bull breeds and rottis but didnt realise that they were to include the japanese akita within this. would a simpler idea not to be bringing in a dog license! the way things are going now, i can see a whole list of breeds being banned in the next 5-10 years :/
It would imo cause too much of an uproar if they banned any more breeds, I think if anything they will get rid of bsl within the next 5 to 10 years and bring in Licences, which like you say would be a whole better way to go!! Nice AB btw Chunky, what's his/her ped if you don't mind me asking. Thanks
Thanks, he's our oldest boy now. Dam was Black Ice Snoopy of AS and Sire was Scotts Sambo of Sandvalley. We imported Snoopy from Alan (She has long since died)
I'm pretty sure the couple I got my AB pup from have a male out of that litter called Digga, were the pups born in quarantine ??
