Here is our lovely little doggy, who just turned 1 yesterday! originally she was rehomed from the pound, where she was taken in with her 5 brothers and sisters as new born pups. We adopted her in Sep,when she was 6 months old, after her owner got a new job with long hours and couldnt keep her. We have no idea about her parentage....she is a real Heinz 57 I think! But what do you think? Any gusses whats in there? Our thoughts and others suggestions include staffie, collie, jrt, lab. When she runs she has a bit of a greyhound look to her too.:? Personalitywise she is just wonderful! Very tollerant of my kids, very clever, learns quickly. She does have boundless energy and loves to be kept busy/stimulated both physically and mentally. Adores chasing balls more than anything in the world....Not much bothered about food, very fussy eater, doesn't eat much...and can be VERY stubborn.Oh, and likes other dogs and playing too. So what do you reckon? Her sister (who we saw when we adopted her) was slightly bigger than her, with slightly shaggier coat, more patchy black/white colouring and more of a definite collie look about her....but other than that no real clues to her make up! here she is! She is our first dog...so I'm not totally clued up ! I know it doesnt matter really what she is(as obviously she is the best dog in the world LOL)...but for fun... go on...tell me what she is!!
SHe is lovely! Good for you taking her on I would say deff collie and the 2nd foto looks staffy But it dosent matter, she is one of a kind!
Does have a look of staffie about her. Not sure what else but she is beautiful. Such a lovely shiny coat as well. Do you polish her!!
she's gorgeous!!! we regularly meet a couple with a dog who looks very similar to her and they reckon she is a kelpie cross. your girl may be a little smaller though but she still has that look about her to me. she's beautiful!
;-) aww thanks all. We love her so much! Her coat is really shiny , would like to say its down to something great we are doing, but it has always been like that no matter what....even when she is in one of her "I'm not eating my dog food ever" phases!LOL Mind you, a good long muddy walk takes the edge off it quite often;-) !! Hadn't considered Kelpie...off to browse piccies!
just looked at some kelpie pics...andI can see something familiar in them....think it's the ears....hadn't even considered that one! Anyhow, she sure is unique. Gotta love crossbreeds haven't you!
actually she looks a little bit like mine, we were told she was 6 month old by the foster home but our vet reckons she about 7 month ish. We were told she was a staffy cross but not what she was crossed with, take a look at my pics when i finally get them posted on here, (going to have to bluetooth to hubby phone, then upload onto harddrive first) probably tomorrow pm x
