    thank you for that :)
Im usually good with computers but dont seem to be able to do it! Probably because Im not allowed to do anything that doesnt involve a chew toy or biscuit at the moment! :)

I think he will turn out to look just like a solid liver GWP as apart from a few odd measurements here and there, they amount to more or less the same dog apart from the coat.

Generally, the more coat they have when they are young, the thicker their coat will be when they reach adulthood so I think your little boy will have a fairly thick coat on him!

Fortunately, my GWPx has a very thin coat so requires no stripping!

Beautiful pup though, he'll provide you with plenty of fun and games.

He's really gorgeous! They really are fabulous dogs. It sounds as if you are doing a fabulous job playing with him and getting him hooked on his toys. You will thank your lucky stars as he gets older!

Thanks everyone.....he is lovely and very calm for his age tho Im under no illusions that he will stay like that!
Thanks Leanne for that info...I thought the same about the coat. Funny because we originally decided on a GSP mostly because we were looking for a short haired dog but when we went to see the litter (all very smooth haired except him) I couldnt resist that face and he has such a lovely temperment that the coat didnt matter! :)

He is absolutely gorgeous. I really like both GWPs and GSPs, and so a cross the two is bound to be absolutely fabulous :)

Are you planning on doing any kind of work with him?

He is very cute! I imagine he`ll look like a liver GSP with a slightly rougher coat? Great fun. This is my shorthair Shamus

Shamus is lovely... thanks for the pic :)

Moobli....I am going to take him to obedience classes to start off with and decide if we want to do anything like agility later on....I want to keep him as active and well trained as possible but tbh I dont know much about the others types of activities we could do....any advice?

You could get into working trials, there are some GWP's who compete and do very well. Both breeds have the athleticism and the nose to excel at WT's. It's something I enquired about for Flynn but never got a reply so decided to do gundog training with him. I tried agility with him but decided to call it a day when he nearly dislocated the trainers shoulder and ripped my t-shirt with his teeth simply because of his over enthusiasm and intense excitability. I thought perhaps a calmer type of training was needed!

To give you some idea of coat length and density, this is my GWPx Slovak (Flynn) at 12 weeks old. He doesnt have much of a wiry coat at all:

And this is him now, still doesnt have much of a wiry coat!

And this is my OH's GSP, Millie:

    Gorgeous dogs Leanne :)
Really nice to see puppy and adult pics too so thanks :)
I will do some research into working trials and gundog training as I really dont know much about them, would love to get involved with something like that but I like the sound of calmer training so maybe Ill give agility miss for now.
Im really looking forward to obedience classes as he learns so quick....only had him 5 days and he sits on command and patiently for his food and also giving his paws to be dried off after going out :) helps that he watches my older dog but that was why we got him now anyway.....we are hoping she will babysit! even if its just while I have a shower! lol
Oh and sorry yes his name is Sherlock.....suits him doesnt it?!?

I doubt you`ll be able to avoid doing some gundog stuff with him as both these breeds live to hunt, and the best way is to channel their drives to flush , point and retrieve. WT training is fun - you teach your dog to find and retrieve and to follow a trail. You don`t have to do the competitions.
