Aw, Monty is a lovely name

The weeks will fly by! We first visited our pup when they were only a week old so I know what its like to wait!

Unfortunately as our pup is coming from a breeder who shows dogs and keeps a few of the puppies, we've not been able to actually 'choose' which pup we want. We've visted all the puppies a few times (there were 2 litters) and all I know is that we'll probably be getting a tan & white dog. To be fair, they're all beautiful puppies with an excellent pedigree. Which breeder is your pup coming from?

I got a crate from ebay as they were lots cheaper than the pet shops and the one I have is excellent quality too. We went for a 30" crate in the end (sometimes sold as medium or large dependant on the seller) and it's just the perfect size. Its not too big or small and will fit nicely in my car :)

I have bought a soft bed too for in the living room but we intend to crate overnight to start with until he is fully toilet trained. The soft beds cost a fortune too so I wasn't sure but I managed to get a really nice one from Makro for £12.99 which I thought was fab!

I will def be posting piccies when I get him! Can't wait to see little Monty too!!

You would be better with "vet bed" in the crate. at the puppy stage as it can be washed and dried very quickly and the moisture wicks away from the surface so keeps the pup dry.....looking forward to pics from both of you!

It is horrible waiting isn't it? The breeder we are getting Monty from (I love Beau by the way) is a new breeder, they own the Mum and Dad and this is the Mum's first litter! And she had 8!! Yes 8 on her first litter (it is quite funny as the people have 8 children, it is like she is keeping up) There were 6 boys and 2 girls (1 tan girl, 1 tan boy, 5 tri boys and 1 tri girl) I originally wanted a tan boy but my OH wanted a tri, and in the end he won! But I got to pick Monty! I didn't want to pick him sooo early but they have had major interest already and havent even been advertised yet! Luckily we had first pick, I have been in contact with him since he mated them so it seems so long waiting! We had first pick and I went with Monty as i preferred his colouring and he also seemed pretty active!

But like you said they are all gorgeous - It was really hard to pick, I just wanted them all!

Thanks for the crate tip! I might head over to Ebay now to have a look! Yeh I have a bed for Monty to, you also had a great bargain with that! Mine wasn't to bad it was £40 reduced to £20 and is large enough to last him (or until he chews it lol)

Are you going to be taking Beau to puppy classes? Or haven't you decided yet!

Thanks for that, I'll bear that in mind

I will be looking into puppy classes but it will probably be after Christmas as I want to leave it a little while for Beau to settle in at home and also its a pretty hectic time up until Christmas!
