One of the things I like about my dog, is the time and experiences I get from spending time in the nature with her. I guess I could take any dog with me, but only a gundog can work with me and giving what she gives me A day outside with your dog, a talk with the other gundog owners, what you see and gain from being outdoors from 6 in the morning til late at night is priceless. I thought i would share some pictures of last weekend where i got the pleasure to meet new people, new dogs, see a new area and also the honour of being invited back with my own dog when she´s done with her season. So here are the dogs that were with us that day - all different, all serving different purposes and all very good and sweet dogs working together and individually. Gundogs at their best Hope you enjoyed and maybe has something similar to share Queen Ally who will be ready in a week or so
Excellent pics AM, it looks perfect for training as everything you want is in one place. The dogs look great and eager to go, I hope it was a successful day out for you all and look forward to more working pictures soon ;-) and hopefully a few of Ally at her best too.
Thank you Nat Its not actually for training, but a real hunt ;-) No one are allowed there to go training as it would disturb and stress the wild life. Training should be done elsewhere and the dogs are supposed to be able to perform when out there But it was a nice day. And a really good experience and I loved every minute of it Cant wait til Ally´s ready so she can be a part of it
Great pics AM And I cant wait to hear about "the adventures" of you and Ally, when her season is over and you can get started.
I'm afraid Murph rather lest s the side down 'cos he neither works nor shows! But he's a brilliant pet, great with the boys and works very hard at eating!!
Thanks J Hopefully we´ll be ready soon. Season is annoying Ruthlynn: I think I speak for everyone when I say in here theres room for everyone. No matter what we do with our dogs Besides, who says Murph wont be excellent at working? Take a good look at the dogs in the pics and see if you can pick who used to be a pet Just like Murph ;-)
Oooh yes, they are a nightmare.... All depending on Luna's xrays, the next season may be the last one. Ruth, I dont work Luna either.. Not in anyway near wot AM does with Ally... I do try to teach her the few odd things... Retrieve and carrying things.. I had a really great pic of Luna today.. I took in on the phone, BUT all of a sudden I cant send mms's I'll have to call the phonecompany, when I get my voice back.. She's carrying a bag of crisps (chips in danish) home for me.. Really cute But not working like a "pro"...
I don't work my dogs but it's nice to have a room for my favourite group! I have labs at the moment - and the breed i really want to get into when I have the time and money and space is Pointers - English type. I love these dogs so much (and am sad enough to have virtual ones - www.freewebs.com/zoundzy and a virtual gunclub - [Moderator edit. I dont work my 4 gundogs! They do that themselves! Mind you, the difference between Setters and Retievers has really surprised me! That sounds stupid (even to me) typing, but you can really tell the difference in thier 'jobs' even un trained! :?
