My Story:

I bought a Border Collie when I got married. He was my faithful companion for 14 years and saw me through a few bad times. We trusted each other completely.
I rescued a Weimaraner bitch as I had seen the breed whilst on holiday and was so impressed with the nature of them. She became unwell with a tumour and this was devastating as she was only two years old, but it spread to her brain and she was put at peace. I informed the rescue centre who re-homed her with me and the lady there had a litter of five sweet pups and one became mine. This was Poppy - my beautiful girl and friend for 9 years. It hit me hard when she passed on and I couldn't contemplate another dog for a few years.
Then I was told about Rocky - he needed a new home, his mum and dad couldn't get on. I went for a visit on my birthday and when I knocked on the door I heard a big woof and knew he would be coming home with me. Two days later he came home -such a naughty boy of one year, but what a darling. He has made me laugh every single day of the last three and a half years. He has learnt his manners and lots of commands and has such a character. Everyone loves him and he loves everyone in return.
I adore this breed, they can be wilful and demanding but the rewards are immense and the laughs are many.
Everyone needs a dog in their life - everyone needs a Rocky.
