- My Story:
-
I currently live with my boyfriend, his parents and his sister while we save for our own place. We're saving to buy because we can't stand the thought of all that rent money we'll spend, that could've been put towards a house!
Rosa, a rescue Staffy, lives here. She's Edd's family's dog (his mum's really) but they've never owned before, so asked me to help with training Rosa.
My parents have a recued Patterdale, called Piper. She's a bit of a handful! Very small and cute, but lethal! So glad we rescued her, otherwise she'd have gone to an inexperienced home (as she was so cute) and would probably have been PTS. As it is, she's with us. And is a million miles better than she was when we first got her, but she does still have some issues.
Shandy, ANOTHER RESCUE! Was my childhood dog. A Staffy X, who looked after me like I was his own. We founf him tied to a lamp-post next to the A6, playing with an empty Shandy can (hence the name :-)) Took him to a rescue and said that if they couldn't find his owners, we'd be more than happy to have him. And we did.
His best friend was Clyde, my sister fat fluffy cat. When we used to take Shandy for a walk, Clyde would come too. If it was raining, Clyde would walk underneath Shandy to keep dry!
My Mum has always had dogs in her home. And taught me and all my sisters how to treat the properly from an early age. I've met plenty of aggressive dogs, but, I think down to how my mum's raised me, I've never been bitten, because I've treated them respectfully. And we're teaching all our nephews and neices to do the same. :-)
