    My Story:
We lost our old boy Max on May 24th 07, he was 14½. He was a loving, happy with life & everything in it kind of dog. He especially loved his food & would eat with such gusto & enjoyment. We had him from a baby of 8 weeks old & saw him just after he had been born, eyes still closed & so tiny. He always had the sweetest nature & never retaliated if other dogs were nasty to him. A beautiful boy.
We still have Dolly our rescue girly, she was left tied up at the side of the A10 covered in Dermodectic Mange which is caused by a parasitic mite. Fortunately a woman spotted her & took her to the NAWT Watford where she was taken in & treated for her condition which was pretty bad, she was in a real state. All the hair on her feet, legs, chest & face was affected, to this day the hair on her feet & lower legs has not grown back.
At the time we were considering getting a companion for Max as we were working then [now retired] & a friend who is involved with the Watford Centre told us about Dolly & once she was on the mend arranged for us to take Max along to see how they got on. We all loved her at first sight & couldn't wait to take her home but of course we had to be patient for a week or two. We also had to continue the treatment & this meant regular bathing in special shampoo & medication. But she is so worth all the trouble.
