    My Story:
Our first dog, Penny, we had from a pup, she was a Retriever. Lovely dog. Good when the boys were young. When she was 10 we got a 4 year old Yorkie, Suki, that had belonged to an Aunt. He was known as 'Little Sod', he was a terror, but we loved him to bits. He was a real character and very sweet once you got to know him. When our Retriever died he was upset so we got a Cairn/Westie X, Jack, from someone who couldn't care for him, he was 9 months old. They got on really well and Jack adored Suki.

Suki died Oct '05 and initially Jack seemed OK, then he started to fret so we went to a rescue and got Pixi, she is a feisty Jack Russell. Loving, naughty and a complete handful for 10 1/2 year old Jack because she is like a Duracell battery, she never stops, LOL.

We moved to Turkey where there are far too many souls needing homes and its very difficult to resist adopting. We adopted a Collie type dog, Sally, who was wandering the streets as a puppy. A retired English Vet took her in and brought her back to health, but couldn't keep her as he only lives here half the year. So, she came to us, the vet was SO happy as he feared he might have to put her back on the streets, and was considering euthanaising her rather than do that.

I then made the mistake of falling in love with a picture of a beautiful English Setter that was at the rescue. She had been there 4 months with no takers. The only people interested were Turkish hunters and the rescue wouldn't allow them to have her as they wouldn't look after her.

Five weeks after Molly came into our lives, we had a surprise addition. -A puppy I found wandering in the middle of a busy road at 4am. Update: We called her Muffin. She is part Kangal, I think and is now 2 years old and weighs 23Kg

That really must be all, folks.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Last year I spotted a 4 month old waif by the road. My son sweet talked her to catch her when she hid from us. She is so adorable. We called her Elif, and I think there's a lot of Italian Greyhound in her. -A total cutie.

Sadly Jack died in 2013 at 15 and a half. The sadness goes deep and lasts long. RIP Lafitte.
The net, music, reading, knitting and handicrafts (though sight is making it less pleasurable now) -n
