- My Story:
- Retired, with time now to spend with my St Bernard, Picasso, and little mixed breed Mr. Darcy. The St Bernard has stolen my heart and I’m afraid he is nearing the end of his life. I am devastated and want to help him. My wife is typing this up after she found this forum. I’m looking for advice to help Picasso be able to get around better in his last days. Picasso has difficulty getting up and walking at times. He is on Novox and most recently on gabapentin, which I’m not sure is helping. If you try to lift him, he will bite you, out of discomfort. We recently tied a strip of a sheet underneath him to help as a lift and hopefully keep from getting bit.
