My Story:

My name is Alanna. Often AlannaJohan, though in publication Alanna Johan Blaney. I don’t do abbreviation well.
I live in Cornwall, UK, but was born in North London to a Scottish mother and an Irish father. But I prefer vodka and absinthe to whiskey or cider.

I have many interests and passions, and I pretty much let them rule my life.

The obvious one is that I currently own and work 2 Alaskan Malamutes, who present a most satisfying challenge! I do not show them, but it is of growing interest to me having been attending and observing. I am looking into ownership of Japanese Akita Inus and possibly Australian Cattle Dogs in the future however am having to be patient and wait until my living situation is suitable for a larger number of dogs.
Other animals of interest include Tropical Fire Eels, Bengal Cats and Pythons.

I also write. Previous publications include Future Voices Anthology (UK), Writing Magazine (UK) , Crannog Literary Magazine (EIRE) and Immortal Verses Anthology (US), amidst other independent medias.

I work with my long term partner (by which I mean I pose) on our cars and bikes (and upon occasion those of his customers); my interest in motor-vehicles is not exclusive to one genre. We have played with everything from hot rod stepside aestehtics, rock crawling suspension set up and high-bhp Japanese engine tuning, right through to custom chopper body work and nicely tweaked street fighters. I don't actually ahve a license but I do ride a motocross bike off road and when I get to a point of being decent intend to execute this in the form of FMX. Might go road legal one day too.
The other half also does custom metalwork and sometimes I wear that.

Otherwise I actively seek out the artistic, particularly in the form of tattoos / body modification, photography and couture. So there we have it!
