Yes i do totally see your point of view just saying i'd seen it on many sites and so it must be quite common. Thanks for the reply.
It makes me quite cross. Although I'm very involved with my family dogs and one is kind of mine as I trained him, I'd love to have my own own dog. I could go out and buy one, but I won't, because I flit about from place to place, don't have a proper home, and couldn't offer a dog any proper stability. It makes me really angry when people just go out and buy a dog without a proper place to keep it. It makes it worse, in my opinion, as this guy is in the public eye, and referred to as an 'expert' on television programmes (eg. the BBC's "My Life as an Animal"). It's all very well to think positively, but some things are just pipe dreams, and I would have left putting the dogs in place 'til last. Hope they get good forever homes soon.
Just because they can be mated that young doens't mean they should!!! For instance I saw on a Beagle site today the breeder proud that a dog had become a father at 9 months!!!!! As I said..just cos they can doens't mean they should!
Im sorry, you said 9 MONTHS!!!! Im sure they would know how the dog turned out character and confirmation wise at that age, likewise had all relevant health tests etc.... NOT!!!!!!!!
I know..its disgusting!!! and there proud as punch for anyone to see, great breeders they must be to advocate that
I am sorry to hear this. As most know I was secretary of the NIS till recently. I am no more, and will soon issue my own statement around the conduct of the NIS committee. If anyone wishes to begin another thread I will be happy to contribute.
Wow Shaun has managed to make me think even less of him than before! No doubt his dogs werent getting him the tv coverage he expected so they had to go!! What a horrible little man, this world isnt large enough for his ego, why do people like him get all the time on the TV for the public to believe he is an 'expert'??
Mmm, I wonder why he never gave him back to his breeder? :? As for the dog used at 9 months, I agree that is far too young As for the rest ref SE and CR :?
Well not even I knew that so the NIS Secret Service at its tricks again? Hmmm wonder what else I didnt know?:?
Sorry but its not the NIS secret service this time because even I knew that (and I generally don't know anything!) I found out from a post on what is now your own forum ;-) .
What happened with the JRT's he had as well have they gone? As ink says clearly just using the dogs for marketing and to line his pockets. Now thats fallen through he has gotten rid . . . Ummmmm wonder who that sounds like . . .
I am in shocked, though the dogs may be better off now, if they go to decent homes, lets keep our fingers crossed. Are these any of the dogs: http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/dogsforsale/A74F146A30BAAAF58025759A003748A5
Thanks Jem xxxx Nothing to do with the issue of the thread but when I saw these pics, I did think that the first one looks very gsd (nice dog don't get me wrong). Infact, to be honest, I was surprised at all the dogs, they didn't look like the 'type' of dogs that I expect to see from these kennels.
Main pic is Starr, 18mths, already has a litter of about 4mths old on the ground. :-( 2 and 3 are Tokalu and Koda. (not sure which is which) 4th is Kayi, their mother.
