Hmmm, some of those are easy to identify but flippin' heck there are a lot that could be!
I cheated and clicked on them all because there is no way I could tell a real pitbull.
    Really interesting link though.

Goes to show, doesn't it? makes you wonder how many dogs that don't have any Pit Bull in them have suffered as a result of breed specific legislation.

Yeah. I have no doubt that many dogs have been seized who are perfectly innocent crosses. It's a shame.

I've never knowingly met a pitbull but I have to say I would be very cautious if I did (as I am around other particluar breeds). I'm not proud to say that but it's true.

pitts are rated to be one of the top breeds for your family, and its ok to be causious, they are powerfull, when i encounter one its the owner i look at,,,, not the dog....iv learned over the years how wonderfull they truly are and my guy would change your mind if you had any misconceptions,as well as my dogos....have you hugged a pitt today!!!!!!!

I managed to get it first time. But that is because I am always watching animal cops on animal planet and they always are showing pitbulls on there. I am off to see what the other breeds are.

    Ndidi

ps I have never heard of most of the other breeds I am off to read all about them.

And we have breed specific areas for a reason! So the answer is no, and in future mind your tone.

I hit the American bulldog first, but got it on the second go.. again thanks to animal cops, so I have wasn't taken in by the obvious ones:)

It's hard to tell the difference between Am Bulldog and Pitt without size comparison isn't it:)

See now you sound like a responsible owner and it would probably help a great deal to meet a dog like yours to help get over the misconceptions.

I love it when we meet a friendly dog of a breed I'm unsure of who Maggie can play with as it helps me no end and gives me confidence too.

hey Janie, id like to think that im responcible ,iv been working with large breed dogs for 30 years, and slowly iv been able to get some people to change there minds.i once was frightened of larg dogs in generall,it was a DOGO that changed my mind and i was able to see pass the dog ,so to speek, with understanding you can too, most dont bother to see dangeious dogs in any other way .like i said before its the owners i look at first ....

I got it on the fourth click. It looked much smaller than I was expecting. I was looking for something big like Daddy. Very interesting, thanks for posting.

Yeah 3rd click for me too, although it is a small Pitbull they have used.

To see how good pit's can be see Daddy on The dog Whisperer, he is soooo cool.
