Only half an hour ago you said this:

I agree, it is despressing. The trouble is, people always tell you what they know you want to hear when they want a dog - but they don't always tell you the truth. However, I will ALWAYS have a dog back and go out of my way to fetch them immediately, for whatever reason. Even those that aren't even mine.

Christmas before last I had three or four extra dogs that other breeders refused to take back right on Christmas. Only one of those dogs was my responsibility as I bred him.

what a shame all these waifs and strays are taken in by you to be used for breeding!!

omg I don't know who is feeding you a line or what fairy tale you've been reading. Timber has NEVER been used at stud - he was neutered as he was monorchid - which was a terrible shame as he is a super dog and I would love to have been able to use him.

You're way out of your depth girl! Try finding another source of info.

I think comments like that are just discrediting everything else you've said.

Could you put some punctuation in that please - its very difficult to read otherwise.

Merlin didn't have epilepsy? Where the heck did you get that from?

I didn't have the time he needed - with about 8 other dogs of my own I did not have the time he needed - I am not taking on someone elses dogs to the detriment of my own.

Not one of those dogs were uses for breeding - all were found pet homes - and I never got a penny for any of them - not even my expenses. Check your facts - remember - to assume is to make an ASS out of U and ME!

Your a absolute joke, Marie you have said on more than one occassion that you have a bitch that may or may not be a carrier for epliepsy but you are going to breed from her anyway.
Sandra you have said yourself Merlin was a carrier so what the hell are you harping on about now?
So you had no time to train merlin or socialise him but you had plenty of time to put him to 2 of your girls?
I actually dont give a monkeys about peoples opinions of me and never have but I dont lie and I go on facts and all you have done is try and make yourself look half decent when you've done nothing but make yourself look like a fool unless you go back and edit your posts.
The pair of you bore the hell out of me and people like you irratate me as your happy to admit things that happened in the past but when it comes to things you are doing know you deny it, what to make you look better?
I pity any puppies you 2 pump out and I hope to god puppy owners check you out properly before getting involved in you.
I wash my hands of this thread as the truth doesn't make a bit of difference at all.
I will enjoy Isis for as long as she has left bless her heart and I can only pray that one day you will both get what is coming to you.

Yes it is, and I also hope that the person that has put this "breed" where it is now will reap what she has sowed!

Then I think that is commendable - there are those that would not even take back dogs of their own breeding.

There are no winners, from what I have read. This thread alone has highlighted some incredibly unpleasant facts and information concerning many of you involved in the past, present and future of these dogs.

You might consider that if you continue along the lines you have planned, your name will be tarred with the same brush as the person to which you refer.

I am not making sport of anyone - do you expect me to keep quiet when I have such grave concerns? I'd much rather be patting you on the back for not breeding from dogs with epilepsy in their lines, actually. You can protest as much as you like but you have shown yourself to be as clueless about epilepsy as others who think they know better.

When you decided to breed from Nanuq you decided that both parents had to be a carrier to produce sufferers but I told you then it was more complicated than that. I said that it is if the condition proves to be recessive or polygenic, then the carriers could be put to non-carriers wthout producing sufferers. However, some pups would still be carriers. How would you know which ones were? The all-important genetic test comes into play here to find out which are carriers and which are normal.

However, we don't know the mode of inheritance at the moment so if the condition were dominant, this would not be possible. And what I've written is very simplified.

If you are now putting Nanuq to a half NI, you do not know whether the half NI is a carrier.

Pinned down Sandra  and he never bit you! If you pinned me down I would jolly well have bitten you! Poor dog no wonder he had issues :-(

Do you subscribe to the alpha thing and think you actually part of a pack of dogs ? There is such a misconception about dogs pinning one another down. One dog may voluntarily submit to another dogs by rolling over, once it has rolled over the dog to which it differed may place it paws on the dog.

A humans pinning a dog down is another thing entirely and asking for trouble.

You took cloud on as your own dog and didn,t offer her previous home a penny, you then tried very unsuccessfully to breed from her as you took her to stud when two of your other dogs had a virus which then spread to one of your puppies and nearly killed her, Cloud had a seizure and your words to me were that if she has epilepsy I am not paying for the meds I will have her put to sleep, it wasn't epilepsy but the virus that was rife in your kennels and because of that she had a cesarean ( oh yes and the virus could have also been a cause of Scouts cataracts along with the deficency in his diet) and we know the rest - poor pups! After Cloud killed her pups you didnt want to risk breeding from her again so sold her on, at no point did you even bother to tell me that you had planned to sell her, so no Sandra another of your many lies she was not my responsibility you made sure of that, as I said earlier you used me and my situation to your own ends it was always about money with you and always will be, dont try passing the buck now.

This I find very interesting was it not you who asked another breeder to take on two of your bitches days before they were due to whelp as the environmental agency were on your back?
