Thats the thing Jem.. he didn`t come from a decent home.. he was kenneled 24/7, almost no human contact, he was in poor condition when he first arrived... but soon improved.

Right so let me get this right, he had a bad home, he went to sandra, sandra looked after him and he improved, he was bolshy but had no real issues he then went to live with a bloke who tried to stud him out over the net and didn't have the best home there, he went to a lady in devon who i know would have looked after him and he went for her daughter in between all this there are rumours he may or may not have gone for other people.
He was also used on sandra's bitches as well as a bitch in devon and from that he was rehomed yet again and attacked his owners and was put to sleep.
Is this correct or have I missed bits out? Maybe we should get the bloke opinion on this who was studding him out on the net as he's also a member on here!

if i was the bloke you are referring to.. i wouldn`t want anyone to know who i was... i saw Merlin when he came back from that particular home... he was in a disgusting state. He was rehomed with this guy as a pet.. with no papers.. it was only after it was discovered what he was up to.. Sandra drove up there immediately and took him back.

But why wasnt he catrsted before being re-homed, as Sandra also offered my friend Cloud un-speyed sureley a responsible breeder should ensure they are not used for breeding although that would cut into their profits.

I totally agree this poor dog should have been castrated straight away instead of being put to atleast 2/3 bitches granted I wouldn't have had Isis but to be honest i'd rather have been without Isis instead of knowing that her dad was put through hell because a breeder was to tight or didn't care enough to get him snipped!

Sorry Jem.. i am only aware of the bloke you`re talking about... the woman that used him on her husky (who incidently knew his hipscore was 29, as it was on Sandra`s website, before she used him as a stud without Sandra`s knowledge) and the home that eventually had him pts because of the attack on the husband. It was sad that the homes didn`t work out for him.. As many breeders/ rescues know, it`s VERY difficult to know if a potential owner is telling the truth or are who they appear to be on first impressions. In both cases when the homes didn`t work out Sandra went straight away to pick him up..

Sandra told her to do the mating as the NI needed new blood but when everything went wrong with Merlin sandra dropped her like a hot rock!
Sandra has admitted on another forum she knew the mating was taking place! So what now she's changed her mind on it all?
The lady in question was after a stud this was not a hidden fact neither was the fact that her bitch was half husky half ni and sandra even gave her advice on how to get her own lines from the litter!

But no sandra knew NOTHING about it

It doesn't matter who sent them to me, I knew they had been given to the lady in devon and what a surprise they have her name and all sandra's details on the sales agreement  and the mating registration has been signed and has merlins details on it.
Lie's always catch up with people lets see sandra blag her way out of this then as no doubtably she will try or ignore it totally

Well, in that case, it comes down to your word against her word on this forum.

I'm not saying you're lying, Jem, but people reading a forum will see one person say one thing and the other person say another. How are they to know who is telling the truth, do you see what I mean? Especially about these dogs, given the many accusations and rows that go on in the threads.

I've seen them before I think on a public website (as have probably most people on here). Didn't realise Isis was part of it though hun.

Back on the original topic, crossing NI with CWD/Sarloos and Sarloos 'hybrids' being the latest fad, several people are jumping in blindly and rushing things.

How do we know that adding dog to Sarloos is going to get the result wanted or could we have a stronger, more wilful Sarloos that doesn't have the shyness.

Without that shyness, couldn't the resulting 'hybrids' be liable to aggression/dominance. I just think too many will end up in the wrong hands.

Wonder who will get blamed if it all goes belly up....
