Well, no, not really. Just decided it was mostly a bit too... "ingratiating"? Is that the word? Maybe "introspective"? Not sure - but if they were Americans, they would probably be living in the Everglades I think.

I would hope any future pups would not conform to standard, or there will be some pretty deformed dogs walking about out there under the banner of NI...

I honestly wouldnt worrie about the standard and stepping up to the new one, I would do what everyone else is doing, laughing at it.

Yet they state the ribs must be long!! They dont say ribbed well back so they cant mean that, but to have "long" ribs would obviously mean a deeper chest and brisket? This would of course then mean the chest dropping well below the elbow! Whoever wrote this doesnt have any basic conformation knowledge!!! Contradictions galore!

I take that quite personally actually if you had a issue maybe you should have mentioned something before leaving in a huff

that made my head hurt, there are so many contradictions in there,

I tried to make this dog up in my head, but short of a train crash, I couldnt picture it.

Sorry you feel that way Jem, the point I was making was simply that it appears to me that with the NIS you are either "in" or "out". If out, you are pretty much ignored, if "in" then the opposite. I disliked the "us and them" attitude. I never left in a huff at all, just decided that to stay would more likely than not end in tears one way or another and that was the only way to make sure it never happened.

I just have to say.... how do you feel about the standard being on your site? Do you think you may need to explain or defend it to people visiting your site?
