I would feel far better if callum were going to keep this dog, its the worrie of him being passed on that I cant feel happy about, it would seem at the moment the dog is a buisness asset, I would be far more relaxed if he could stay with callum as a pet if things dont work out. I would just like to say, I have no problems with callum having the dog, its the uncertainty in his future that worries me, He has already had a bit of chopping and changing going on and hes still so young. here are some for you
LOL Moobli - i can't reply on here to this, lol!! It would cause too much controversey and detract away from the initial point which is Dannys welfare
Sorry folks, not been on for donks, not had proper internet for while now! Not got through all of this thread yet, dredding reading the rest. Got your pm Shona, just today! From what i gather there were only 3 pups from this litter, Tikka (kenco Lady Jane)not that she deserves a show name or that, lol and 2 boys!? I stressed my concerns regarding Mr Ross at the time i got Tikka, by this point Vinnie had already done the deen and tbf to Shona with his rep within the Lab sector who would have thought. I,m off to read the rest, Tikka is on the couch wit me just now, upside down lying with her snout in under the pillows, not that interested!
Hi Barry, nice to see you, hows the police force treating you? while your here it would be great if you could pop a thread up with some photos of the lovely tikka.
whoops, sorry for dragging this thread up, just up and running with past events!!! i,m awayas requested to visit my photobucket which i warn now, not sure i remember how to work, lol!
Ah dont feel your dragging it up hun, I just noticed Callum is online watching this thread, so he may come on and update us on how Danny is doing?
I hope so too, if everyone keeps talking and listening it should (in theory) work out well. Like many people I feel I know Danny a little now and want the best for him.
After reading through the last 18 pages, i can say i can understand both Callum point and shona's. Callum well done for taking him on, giving him the love and attention any dog deserves, as i haven't been on for a while could you fill me in on why you need danny to be a working dog? From my understanding on this thread you intend to train him and work him in security, but if he doesn't take to the training you may consider re homing him, please correct me if i am wrong. If this poor lad has had a number of homes previously and some types of behavioural issues you are working on to resolve, what makes you think he will be suitable for security work? Do you think you can acquire the level of control needed for security work? Shona i can understand why your worried about his future, as a dog lover, breeder no one would like to think one of their pups would be in this type of situtation and the possiblity of yet another home. Like all dog lovers you only want the best for him, and stand by your pups / lines until the end as all good breeders should. It must be difficult for you in the current situtation with danny, but at least he is cared for at the present time. I really hope the best solution for danny prevails in all this, after all you all want the best for him.
I have to say, Callum has gone a tad quiet since his last post on this thread, this has worried me a tad, though I know he had a course to attend this week, not sure how long that was due to last though, with some luck he will get a chance to pop on and let us know how it all went, I believe callum was also due to pick up another dog on his course for work, so would be nice to hear all about his new dog.
Was wondering the same thing, please Callum update us on Danny, as you where so enthusiastic to let us know what you had in store for him. . And did you pick your new dog up , and how is that doing!!..does that mean you now have two security dogs , or has Danny not made the grade.
I notice Callum is online, perhaps it would be nice if he either came here or started a new thread to update us on Danny`s progress... As its a shame after all this time to not hear how he is doing.
this is the second time callum has came on here and hovered over this thread, but has been so bloody rude and not updated us, Im begining to get really worried about this dog. I would pm callum, however he has failed to respond to them, even the last one with my cash offer, I can only assume this is all down to problems, the problems being, Callum refused to give me the details of where he got this dog from, saying it was unfair to involve the rescue home, I did say if she had show dogs she would have no problem or could he contact them with my details. I had to go back to the bitches owner and get the details of who the dog was sold to. The dog was passed on by these people to derpiper, who took him and worked with him, Callum did however let slip that the rescue home had an up and coming show dog and that they lived in the same town that the dog was sold to. so I picked up SKC,s Catalouge from Aug last year and low and behold came up with derpiper, for those who dont understand, your name address and phone number are in the catalouge so it was just a case of looking for someone in the same town. not hard really I called derpiper, who gave me the full background on this dog, Can I just thank her for all she did for this dog while im here. I asked to buy the dog back and Callum was happy to do this as he planned to pick another trained dog up for his work, this was to be done while on his course as a dog handler, Callum had no idea I had talked to derpiper at this point, Callum had the dog at this point for what? 3.5 weeks, but had doubled the price of the dog, when Callum got the dog he was also given the largest cage you can get around £120.00 to buy, all his bedding and bowls and so on, though this was not coming with Danny even though the price had doubled,. Derpiper had got danny all his boosters and so on before he left, so no large vet bills to account for. things seemed to slip when it became apparent that he had lied to derpiper about his qualifications, Callum then decided he no longer wanted to sell Danny, well not to me anyway,. Callum had placed an add in scot adds stating he was a qualified dog handler, which he was/is not. Derpiper was led to believe that it would be a forever home for danny, she is very upset by all this as I am, CALLUM it is excepionaly rude, that you have not once took time to come on and let us know all is well with him, given you know how worried we are about him. I can only assume that cash is at the back of most of your decisions when it comes to this dog, Im sorely dissapointed/worried and upset by the whole thing,
It's a shame Callum hasn't replied to this thread, as apart from all the hassle etc I would love to know how Danny is getting on whetehr that is still with Callum or whetherhe has gone to the home that was lined up if Danny's training fell through, or indeed if Danny has a new home altogether. Just playing Devil's advocate here but as so many have joined in this thread maybe Callum feels wary of posting an update whether it is to say that Danny is doing well at training or to say that things havn't worked out. Shona I totally understand your worry and frustration and why you would want to know what is going on. I hope no news is good news...please can we have a wee update Callum? So many of us followed your threads and whilst there were people who disagreed with you there were also people who applauded you for taking Danny into your home and teaching him manners ets and I am sure them like me ar e interested in how he is doing.
