Really excited, went to see a rescue yesterday, and it looks like we might be bringing one home soon. She's a cross GSD and Mal, and has been in the centre for over a year. She and Kopek seemed to get on great, after a walk together, they both played in one of the secured areas. Anybody know this centre? http://www.faithanimalrescue.co.uk/ The one we'll be getting is Malli on the animals page. The owner has one of the largest NIs I've ever seen.
Are you following me Yes, it's Malli. We've been looking for a friend for Kopek for a while, but they must get on with the cat. She seems ideal: right age, right temperament, right sex. Should be all sorted in two weeks. I wanted to take them all home, but the wife wouldn't let me :-(
I saw your thread and read it! Thats what the forum is for. Why has she been there so long, she looks an ideal pet. Some dogs you see in rescues have obvious issues, but she seems really nice. Not wanting another NI Efes?
She looks lovely I hope things work out! She has a kind face;-) Agree with Dawn about the Foxhound, stunning looking dog.
Awww congratulations Efes she's beautiful. Best decision i made was getting a companion for Kiesha, very best of luck to you.
Hope it works out for you;-) There are some nice dogs on there.... but i cant possibly squeeze anymore in!!!!!!!! (i will say it until i know this! repeat 100 times!).
rats. For some reason i couldn't see the site yesterday and now today i can't see her on there. Hope that's because she has gone home with you! Post some piccies
Well she's home. The 1st 24 hours have gone very well. There's been an immediate change in Kopek, he seems to have calmed down a bit. Normally in the morning he is frantic for his walk, but he was a lot quieter this morning, Malli's calming influence hopefully. Here's a pic of here from the rescue centre: lots more to come.
I presume that's what the po said when they left her. When you see her in the flesh you can see the thickness of the coat, and her build is quite bruiser-like. You might well be right, but I'm not going to agree with you as a matter of principle
She is really lovely, lucky you and her. Nice start to 2009. I looked at a couple, loved Howard, mind you we have 5 cats, so our next rescue (yep I said next) would have to at least have a little respect for cats....as cats rule here
That's why we got Malli, because of our cat. Howard is enormous, you don't get a real perspective in that photo, his head must be close to a foot across. Great dog though. The look of disgust on the cat's face was a picture, but she doesn't seem too put out, so hopefully, it won't be too long before they are all one big happy family.
