Do you think there is any Mal in the NI?? Controversial

Colouring, coat, mask, eye set, does none of that make you think of the Mal ?

Eddie (Harrison) told me that she used to use a mix of Mals/wolves and before that GSD/wolves to create her wolf crosses. With the GSD she found the mix to be too "forward going", and with Mals she found they had too high a propensity to fight other male dogs. She found the perfect mix to be Siberian Husky/Mal/wolf.

My Hal was very Mally looking, so is Tai.

Tai is neither skinny nor leggy. Hal wasn't either, but he was much smaller and more skinny than Tai.

I have no idea how to get pictures onto here. I managed it onto the Cry Wolf website. If you go onto the gallery on there you will see. I am useless with this dratted Photobucket thing.

I never said mals have bad temperaments did i? I am not prepared to get into a debate about mals when we are talking about mal crosses! What i can say is that temperament depends on the lines of the dogs bred, socialisation of the dog and the dogs temperament itself oh alongside temperament may be medical issues that can cause behavioural disorder. Perhaps i will reword my post to say his temperament around other entire male dogs, dogs, bitches, children, adults and all animals is to die for but then it should be seeing as he is a pets as therapy dog.

IMO Mals have lovely temperaments. Eddie Harrison told me that the males had a tendency to be aggressive towards other males, which is why she ended with with a mix of northern breeds and wolf. I am not sure I agree about the Mal tendency to be aggressive towards other males, but it is what Eddie told me. I am merely repeating it.

This was the one I was trying to show : Tai was very ill following a nasty bout of Giardia - he had had to be hospitalised at the vets on a drip !

The one which did`nt show up in your first go just had at the end of it, so that`s all you need to check for before posting pics, you might have clicked on the url code and slid the cursor along to highlight it all for copying it [ ? ] if so you don`t need to worry about that, it auto highlights in the code slot all the way along the url so you don`t need to slide along it all for it to copy

Mine certainly does as do all her friends (Mally friends) we regularly walk with 9 or 10 Mals all good friends (and family) and my boy never had a cross word to say to anyone at all.

I did exactly that Patch ! I see now I just need to click to get the auto highlight. I am currently uploading some pics of Hal to paste on here, but my poor old pooter is struggling !

Hi Muddiwarx ! As much a fan of Eddie as I was, this was defo one of the things she got wrong !

WEll I think you tried to say that Mals had bad temprements..its nice that you can pick and choose which bits are from which dog when you have a cross..

and not getting into a debate about mals when talking abotu crosses is exactly what you did by saying this bit is from a mal and so is this bit..but thats all cos everything else must be from the gsd!


My boys temprement is to die for..he is fab around anything and everything..his lines are excellent and known for such tempremtn etc etc..

I am sure there are crap GSD temprements somwhere..

See this is what I see as hypocritical..here you are "commenting" on mals temprements when your dog is supposedly half mal..but you pick and choose which bits is which..its impossible to do that..no matter what you might delude yourself
