Going along the road yesterday I saw this small dog with its tail going at 100mph and thought this has to be a CKCS. It was but it was a colour i have never seen before a very pale biscuit and white. Is this a new colour or something or a genetic fault?
That's interesting, ages ago we saw something similar over Sutton Park, we thought it was a 'new colour' I termed it as lemon and white. Be interesting to here from those that know.
its a genetic fault the tan should be rich red in colour ....... like the so called chocolate colour its just a breeding fault I would say its a poorly coloured blenheim shona is right they can become paler as they get older but normally around the face still only the 4 colours the Tri - colour , blenhiem , ruby and the black and tan
i saw someone a while ago selling yellow & white CKCS! she said that the grandad was the only one in the country or something! pretty sure it was porkys!! no kc papers or anything with them!
i know this was last year sometime, pretty sure i asked about it on here as i didnt know you could get that colour......!!! well you cant!
Was it definately a cav or could it have been a tibetan spaniel? at a distance they might be confused maybe?
No it was definatly a Cav, definatly wouldn't mistake my favourite breed and I was very close. I would say between 6-12months old, it looked pure white from a distance but as I got closer you could see clearly the pale cream colour and white like in the Blenheim markings. I hope I see them again soon as I will ask her where she got it.
