Knowing who you are and what you do....I would say they were Sibes or possibly sibe X's......is that a cop out
Is she yours then? I didnt know you had one of these types. To me, she looks like she has no muscle formation at all on her hind quarters, yes it could be that she was just a puppy, but I not used to seeing puppies with back ends that look like that.
Yes in fact they are all purebred Siberians which have come in through rescue. Apart from the second picture (the wolfie looking dog) they were all indiscriminately bred (any old poor quality dog to any old poor quality bitch just to make money). The point is though, I have seen NI's that are pretty much indistinguishable from these poor quality sibes. Mick
I think these pics are very telling, if it hadn't been you posting then I would have said NI for several of them:?
There are a lot of blue and odd eyes in the NI, so to me at any rate it would indicate more sibe. I do have piccies (which I took) of some of the sibes at Eddy's so I know for definite they were used in the dogs she bred. A GSD was used in the Utonagan a while back (I have a piccie of one the offspring as well,as he appears in a few Utonagan pedigrees)
No she is not mine - she is a visitor who I know through the rescue kennels (I did mention in one of the posts) In the second picture the people had owned her for maybe 2-3 months. I have known several dogs who have sat like that as pups occassionally but have had no back end probs...bu as I said - she is only 3 1/2 so time will tell.
I guess with 50/50 its worth a shot..... She is actually a Ute - I find it very hard to tell the difference I'm afraid
thats odd... Mals have short dense double coats.. Cruiser is a long coat..BUT still has an undercoat.. So are you saying that long coated Utes DON'T have an undercoat?? TW is it your dogs that are Sansorella dogs?? I apologise if I am wrong I just remember someone showing dogs at an NI show but without the affix..but I am not sure if its those dogs or not??(I thought they would be NI..so I might well be wrong)
I disagree they look like what they are poor quality sibes, of course there are some NID or NI x's that look poor quality, with confirmation faults. BUT there are many which don't look any thing like the pics mick posted and look like what they are NID, many look stunning and move very well and have very good confirmation. I could post pics of many breeds which are poor examples of thier breed but I would not say they were a true reflection of the whole breed.
The rough coats have an undercoat as well Louise, it just helps differentiate between them. The coats aren't anything like as dense or as thick as my old Tawney's coat was, but that is the type I love to be honest. My dogs are Sulin dogs, Sansorella dogs were originally NI then TIDA, but I understand she is now independent of both now. I have shown mine at NIS shows in the Utonagan classes they put on, maybe thats how you got confused?
No I am sure there are Sansorella dogs being shown at NIS shows but with their affix dropped.. Anyway,, thats interesting about the coats.. Lola's coat is very short and dense and her undercoat is thick.. Cruisers coat is longer but his undercoat is a little longer too..
Come to think about it, you are right about Sansorella dogs being shown with their affix dropped, I remember hearing something about that.
I would be very interested to find what line she is from and what her affix is. I have my own ideas on her breeding and would love to know if I am right or wrong
That would be Abbie`s two bitches I think a lot of Utes look like NI`s.. the ones with short coats.. and some NI`s look like Utes... the ones with long coats.. like Werewolf`s Kaliska.
