Even if some breeders sell them on that would still leave the others that dont. Jk having so many dogs and the founder doesnt it stand to reason she should have some oldies? It does worry me that they dont seem to have long lives.
Thanks but kita was a girly and was 11 when she passed away, and for kc she was a little to much on the large side which probably did her no favours as she most likely went of heart failure do to being a touch over weight!NOTHING SINISTER I CAN GUARENTEE!!
Well I am very happy to say that my breeder doesn't..and all the other breeders I am friends with wouldn't dream of it either
There are queit a few aged between 9 and 11 about but their owners are not members. My ozzy is son of chief now 10yrs their original owner went bankrupt so rehomed my Ozzy his mum and dad(Chief) and ozzy's 2 sisters. I was very fortunate to rehome Ozzy over a year ago and all the others had good new homes to! So theres another oldie!
Well I don't breed BUt yes I would say my breeder is pretty perfect as are my friends who are breeders..I am fussy who I have as friends..I like them to have morals and ethics
wow! he is gorgeous!! more pics! lovely pics!! both gorgeous doggies! gorgeous doggies! aww gorgeous!! aww she was really lovely x
I am a friend of louise and I AM a breeder, and I certainly would NOT transfer any of my dogs out after they had produced litters for me, my dogs are my family fisrt and foremost, and I might add I personally do not know any of MY friends who are also breeders, that would do such a thing. I am afraid that your sarcastic comment is very unjust, maybe just maybe, the fact that louise does mix in circles that have ETHICS. RESPONSIBILITIES AND LOYALTY to thier dogs is some form of insult against you and YOUR choice of breeder friends? Mo
Well said Mo As has been said, there is no need for the sarcastic remarks! The only people I know of that get rid of their older dogs are 'commercial' breeders - once the dog has 'outlived its usefullness' it is then passed on since it is no longer of any use to the 'breeder' Good breeders keep their dogs for life and their dogs are part of their family, not a commodity to be exploited then passed on when they are no longer of any use.
I am not friends with anyone who is a breeder, i dont actually know any on a personal level & think its nieve of you to suggest that x breeding dogs dont get moved on. I dont happen to be a member of NIS so where you going with this now?
I am not in the slightest bit Naive about breeders and breeding practices, the difference is breeder that breeds commercially are more "likely" to pass on breeding stock, whereas breeders who have a love for their breed, a love for THIER dogs and who have ethics would not pass on x breeding dogs just because they have finished their usefulness, and your comment to Louise insinuated SHE was lieing, the breeders Louise mixes with ie myself and a few others DO NOT GET RID OF X BREEDING DOGS. if the breeders you mix with follow these practices then that is your problem, and something your concience has to deal with, please do not paint all breeders with the same tarred brush. edited to add I notice you state you do not know any breeders so in fact your comment is I assume an uneducated one based on supposition and hearsay?
