CAN I REMIND MEMBERS OF RULE 5 TO WHICH EVERYONE AGREES TO WHEN JOINING UP

    5) Conduct in discussions/debates.

When having a discussion or a debate, please do so in an adult, non-confrontational, non-condescending manner. Please respect the fact that everyone is allowed their own opinion even if you do not agree with it (no-ones asking you to respect their opinion, just respect the fact they are allowed it). Please do not make sweeping statements in debates, and when quoting text from another website (in any area on the forum not just in debates) please put the text inside quote tags and add a link to the page you got it from to credit the original author. However please note we do not allow links to sites containing dog forums, so you may not refer to text posted on them.
Please do not get personal in debates, by all means discuss what someone has posted, address each point they make if you must, but don’t start discussing (or dissing!) the poster. The first person who get’s personal is the one who will face reprimand.
If anyone feels someone has made a personal attack in any way, please use the report post icon to let us know as-soon-as-you-notice-it. All too often people carry on with the ‘fight’ and 5 pages later decide to report the post when they find they are ‘losing’. In these cases you are just as much to blame for continuing the fight. It’s best to alert us as soon as possible so we can put a stop to it if need be.

    .

This is a site for help and advice not a slanging match and there is absolutely no need for it.

Yes you are correct tumbleweed. But I reported the post that has upset werewolf over 4 hours ago yet the post is still there. I also pm'd a moderator several hours after that and know that nothing was done as the post is still there.

There is no need for slagging matches, but there is also no need for nasty personal untrue comments about peoples deceased dogs is there.

No wonder sometimes people get upset in my opinion.

The site is about dogs! Not about asking people if they have brain disorders..

At least she has a brain..and isn't a Baaaa baaaa sheep!!

Kato is an NI.. just his owners face don't fit,,,,Can I ask who went over this dog to decide he should't be bred from?? How many of the committee actually had their hands on him..

Shame you didn't remember that on another thread now isn't it??!!

All the NI threads end up nasty, that you just dont get with other breeds:roll: Its a shame because they are beautiful looking dogs, just everyone in the 'club' seems to be secretive.............

And some NI owners get upset over nothing.. eg when you ask a simple question over there web pages..

Im still waiting on someone telling me
A] why there is no COE on the NIS web site

B] why the NIS sec stated that if people wanted to see the COE that they would have to attend the AGM

C] What is the criteria for judging NI dogs?

D] could someone give me an answer as to why one bitch has two diff dams on two NIS pedigrees..

poss NIS should be answering the questions asked of them.. :?:

Shona these questions HAVE already been answered! The COE is being updated and will be back up on the website as soon as it's finished - after the AGM. The COE as it stands has already been posted up on this site for you to see.

I'm sorry Shona but I don't know the answers to the other questions you asked. The AGM is on 30th November.

    Hi Sally
I have been banned from the forum & not given a reason. I am a fully paid up member of the NIS so would that entitle me to still go to the AGM if i wanted too?

So anyone buying a puppy thats listed on the NIS web site will not be able to see the breeders COE  it gets more proffessional by the day....

Can I ask how much a membership costs.... Its disgraceful you paid a membership, then were banned without giving reason.. I would be looking to get my money back...I also got banned... after only a few weeks,,, duno why.. but its not like the site was informative anyway.... its just a puppy sales page IMO

Anyone buying a puppy will be able to see the COE when they speak to their breeder. It is also up here on Dogsey somewhere - Borderdawn posted it again recently.

Liz - the administrators on the NIS forum insist that you DO know why you can't get on the forum. As it's a personal matter and we're not to discuss other forums here, I suggest you give them a ring if you're still unsure?

NIS membership costs £10 pa for individuals and £15 pa for families. Details are on the NIS website.

I'm not sure if this counts as advertising/spam so I apologise in advance if this is the case.

As far as i understand.. all the members that have been banned from the NIS forum have been so.. for participating on another forum criticising the NIS`s ethics and their leader.

I would think it is up to the individual person whether they are on other forums..AND thats called free will..

If membership is paid for then its irrelevant what else they do with their time..

Ooh how very dare they! I think I'd have gripes if I was a member of a society with a 'leader' like that.
