My first post on this forum as due to the NI bashing I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to join. However, this thread has changed my mind. Blue my GSD looking after Susi the first day she arrived here. Recent pics of Susi
Hi and Welcome, Hopefully this thread may encourage other NI owners to join. Both your dogs are lovely, Blue looks very impressed with the new addition lol and I've definately seen that look before, all GSD's must be the same. Jo x
Thanks for the welcome Jo. Blue is my once in a lifetime special boy I reckon. He was 10 years old in April and is on medication for arthritis but he is doing really well. Last September we lost our Sadie - Gt Dane X Newfie to cancer at the age of 12. Blue got very depressed and lost all his confidence. We looked in rescues for a suitable dog but there was nothing that really suited. We then decided to get a NI puppy and iit's been the best for all of us. Blue loves her to bits and has helped raise her LOL. She did him the world of good and he's now back to his usual self.
Cheers Sally - she was a quirky ole gal and we loved her to bits. We took her on at the age of 4 as her previous owners couldn't keep her anymore. She came for the weekend and stayed for 8 years
Loving this thread it great to hear a few stories with out the fallout of having to defend WHY i choose an NI!! We got Ela after we had to leave our Husky in the family home. We wanted a rescue dog so got Cassie and then got an NI pup 6 months later. Ela is Aces cousin as she came from the same breeder as Phils Hestia, Cabales. Her is my little pest at skipton: and a few more or her: Kiska in the sun at skipton: Winning best brace with Cassie:
Little Blue, Hmmm once in a lifetime special boy, I have one of them too and he happens to be a GSD. We have really been through the mill with him healthwise and despite several thousands of pounds on veterinary treatment, without doubt the best thing we ever did was get more dogs! Zak is now 6 years old and although he acts like a grumpy old man with Ace, he's the instigator of most of the trouble lol. Between them they wreck my house and I really don't care
Hi Little Blue don't be put off by the squabbling, they are only the minority. We love to hear from all dog owners, what ever their breed. Your two are fabulous Welcome to Dogsey, hope to hear a lot more from you, and to see a lot more of your doggies
Good Morning all, With Isis she was 6 months old when she turned up and I was her 7th home this info i did know so i expected problems but not the ones that I actually got, it took her 8 weeks to settle in properly but now she's here she's not going anywhere Gorgeous pic's of xero, ella, Inka, susi and blue xxx
awww their gorgeous!!! more pics! wow their all gorgeous! more pics! aww love that last one, like his saying 'please let me sit on your lap im only little!!'
This thread is great!! Here are my NIs: Spike: And Blaze: They're both two years old. Blaze (spayed bitch) I've had since May and Spike (entire male) I've had since he was a puppy. IMO NIs are a VERY special breed. When I discovered the breed, I thought 'That's EXACTLY what I've been looking for!' My dogs are my best friends and every single day, they give me reasons to feel loved. There are lots of other breeds I like and quite a few I like alot. But there is no other breed I love like this one.
Well i cant rightly leave the monster herself out now can i especially as she has been discussed This Gorgeous girl is Isis
