Were any of the wolf-look-alikes accepted by the KC?

If you want to look at inbreeding and how it effects rare breeds i would look up the Chinook dog (regonised in the US as a breed) this started with just one dog and 3 of his offspring. Numbers went to below 20 at one point i think but they are trying to bring the breed back. Might be of interest to you Ziva X

I think I have mentioned it in this thread and poss another one, but yes louise Mahlek features heavily on this pedigree

when you combine the sire and dams pedigree to give you the pedigree of the pups, from those two pedigrees put together totaling 28 dogs,. six of the dogs on the ped are Mahlek call of the wild, with a mating to a bitch mahlek inuka on both sides, with the offspring {being litter brothers both being used again on the sire and dams side.

    very very inbread!

    its like your

great great grandad on your dads side, being grandad SAM

who married great great gran Inuka

they have a son called poco

On your mums side your great great grandad is grandad SAM too

SAM marries great great gran Magenta

they have a daughter called Tarla

Tarla and poco then go on to have a child who would be your father

this is just the sires side, do the very same thing again with GGrandad SAM on your bitches line,,,,

but this time add great great grandad SAM onto the sire and the dams side,,GGrandad Sam also makes an appearance as just plain Grandad same on the bitches line,,, ,

Ok, so Tamaskan and Chimayo are wolf-looka likes too?

What about Czech Wolfdog and Saarloss? Were they accepted by the KC?

Thanks Razcox - I will look at the Chinook!

I know its getting increasing silly! I understand the spilt with NIS and TIDA but they are still both breeding NI's. Why do people feel the need to get the huff and then go and create there own version?

    The mind boggles . . .

Its not that people want to go and create there own version its because people are threatened and told to change the name x....

It is confusing, if they're being crossed, then they wont be NI's anyway will they?

No they won't but we already have BI and the breed that can not be named which are just NI crosses as well. Its just going to add to the confusion.
