You see, honesty! Thank you Angelmist, much appreciated.

Is Angel the father to Misty puppies? (purely being nosey now!:002: :001: )

With regard to age span, I cant find anywhere an NI over about 7yrs or so which was why I asked.:001:

Yes Angel is the sire to Mistys puppys.

Misty's dad is 14, so I know there are some oldies still out there.

Do you feel the pedigree of these pups is very close or is this sort of the normal type of pedigree within the NI breed ?

Good to hear there are a few oldies.

With regard to the pegigree now Shona has mentioned it. There are at least 6 lines back to call of the wild. Did you see the BBC program about inbreeding and the genetic faults that can occur from it? May I ask who advised you that so much inbreeding would be reasonable in such a small gened breed, especially considering the faults they already have?

This is no way ANY judgement on you, this was your first litter and you were guided by more experienced breeders, just curious as to why they would of thought it was ok.

Thanks for your honesty Angelmist, its very much appreciated.

Just to further what dawn has said,

Did your breeder discuss the pedigree of these pups with you? Again not trying to judge you, just trying to understand the experiance of the help you have had Re: breeding, having looked at your pedigrees, I felt a bit worried that

on the sires line both GGS's are the same dog on the dogs line & GGD are the same two dogs as on your bitches line For GGS& GGD

Also the bitches GS is the same dog as the GGS but on her sires line,

I feel on a three generation pedigree to have the same male 6 times with the doubling up of him with the GGD on both lines is very risky.

given that there are a total of 14 dogs on each ped, with three of this 14 being the same dog, on both the sire and dam's side with one bitch featuring along with this dog on both sides once,

I'm very interested in this breed too, so have been following this thread with interest.

The NI Society website says that one of the founder stud dogs, Mahlek Call of the Wild, pet name Kyle, reached 16 years old before his death in 2003.

    Angelmist..

I noticed on your pic thread that you have already chosen the bitch you are keeping..but they still look very young..
Most breeders I know wait until the pups are 8wks and choose the one they are keeping then..

Is it usual in NI to choose this young?

(I know you never know what you are going to get but by 8wks most breeders will have a good idea, just wondering how you know how her conformation is going to be etc when she is so very young and not moving about etc)

Thank you for your comments.... My pup is resting in peace I can GUARANTEE that and NO ONE stopped me from grieving, as far as the autopsy results are concerned ......... this sight will be the last to find out the results. I have NOTHING to hide and neither do the NI society.

There were only 2 bitches in the litter so it was eather her or her sister, her sister has a white fleck on her head (which is not a fault) but I prefer them without so I chose her as apart from that they are currently identical, it may not be common practice to choose at this age but she is the one I have favoured and at the end of the day it doesn't matter to me, if she doesn't make the grade she will stay with me as a well loved pet.

What difference would it make if I was a KC rep?? NI aren't KC:roll:

NOne of the questions are stupid..They just can't be answered which shows either bad record keeping or no record keeping

I wasn't asking those questions anyway if you had read my post I was saying *I* would be giving this information if *I* had nothing to hide

I always poke my nose in.. OH sorry I thought this was an open public forum where *anyone* could poke their nose in..You haven't posted here for a while and only seem to pop up on these threads to call names..

QWERTY fingers???? Pardon me?? what is that all about..Yes I can type..AND??

And my dogs have had their morning walk thanks.. THey are now about to go up to the stables and have a run in the field off the lead safely enclosed..Thats good innit:lol:

Ohh and while we are on the subject...Another stupid question I forgot to ask on the subject of breeding NI

Is it normal to breed aggressive dogs?? (whether it be to dogs or humans?)

Or is it advised not to??

WEll most people if they had nothing to hide would post the vets autopsy report and make people like me asking the question look fools.
So have you posted the vets autopsy report on NIS?
Dont you think all the potential buyers of NI pups would like to know so there mind can be at rest.
All u have to do is take a photo and post it but you wont will you doe as very apparent hiding something sinister.
Sad that the pup has died in vein was hoping maybe the breeders would start being more honest and stop future pups dying but obviously not.
Hey ho back to the seedy practises

OK well here goes - the truth is that KCJack's ridiculous and obssessive vendetta against the NIS has caused a number of people to leave Dogsey well alone because they really can't be bothered to credit her crazy conspiracy theories with answers she would never believe anyway. She has an uncanny way of being rude to people and upsetting them under the deluded excuse of 'asking questions' and has now scuppered any chance of autopsy results ever being posted here so you can thank her for that constructive input into the NI threads here on Dogsey.

Anyone who is seriously interested in knowing about NIS NIs, their health, breed traits or any other information should contact the NIS themselves directly, where if they GENUINELY ask questions - rather than bandying rumours and insults to people - will find open, honest answers.

I did this before I got my NI (as I realise the importance of doing your research before you buy) and everyone in the NIS, both members and owners with no NIS membership were all extremely helpful. Any 'normal person' will find the same. The rest of you can continue arguing amongst yourselves about your conspiracy theories.

Are you sooo deluded that you can't see the secrecy surrounding the NI??

LONG LONG before KCJack was a member on Dogsey the questions were being asked and ignored..The NIS website doesn't even provide the information!!

AS for it being KCJAcks fault that PM results won't be posted on here..have you heard the phrase "scape goat"?

AS for NI people leaving..I think you might find most of them have been banned for being so spiteful and calling people names etc...THEY are the ones who get personal and nasty..all because people ask questions they should be PROUD to answer...
