Jem, that has been tried time and time again by a fair few here, always to no avail, and long before owning an NI was even a twinkle in kcjacks eye as it were, I would go as far as to suggest that some here have probably been asking questions long before kcjack had even heard of NIs. While kcjacks `style` does`nt lend itself to getting a warm response it`s hardly fair to blame her for lack of answers as many of the same questions more or less have been, [ politely ], asked and un-answered for a very long time :?
This has to be one of the most, open, honest posts I have read on NI's you and your dog deserve better LS
I didn't know that hun, I have not been on here that long myself and often forget I have posted on here ( its my age i think ) I didn't mean to come across as rude or anything like that just thought maybe a different approach may get more answers x
I looked at the links I have been sent, I have to say, the info on them was ....................? " A blood disorder specific to kell" Constricted muscle on Thigh"
Gawd don`t say that, comparing my age to yours that put`s me ready for a zimmer frame - hmmmm, come to think of it, not a bad idea, if only my stoopid shoulder would let me wield one, [ creak, moan, whine ] I do understand and I did`nt think you were being rude, it`s just the same frustration that always happens unfortunately, but we`ll keep plugging away with the questions and hopefully we`ll all get there in one piece in the end ;-)
Firstly Jem I tried the nicey nice aproach when I was asking these questions on there forum but got ignored than as I persistantly asked I got rude responses then joined Dogsey to look further afield for the answers.
Luck Star It is refreshing to many of us to see someone who doesn't wear blinkers or assumes anyone who dares to ask question about these breeds is doing so because they don't like the breed or for other negative reasons. You only have to look at the number of threads posted on here relating to wolfy looking dogs under various names to see just how much interest there is in them and how many litters are being born and puppies purchased with little or no regulation. We have yet to see the full consequences of this I am sure. Good for you! xx
Luckystar just seen your post its so sad. Is the breeder still breeding? And I know what your saying u make noise and you get the "your picking on us" "and your a lier and vicious" It also has always seemed strange Nis have been bred supposedly for 20 years yet no golden oldies. The odd one but when you look how many are bred, where are they all, it seems they dont make old age.
Thank you Mini. I understand the concerns and issues that many raise. kcjack - yes, but under a different wolf-like breed name that we don't discuss on this forum.
Nobody expects their dog to have ANY inherited diseases, thats what TESTING is all about, in Zella's litter, it appears that there is some suspicion that the bitch was mated BEFORE the hip score results were through, although that has not been confirmed, I also asked about Zella haveing an extremely long coat, a fault (like patchy) in the NI yet she has been bred from, why? I would expect you to have seen the hip, eye and elbow scores for your Labs parents, and ONLY purchased it KNOWING they were of satisfactory standard, that way you know 100% that your breeder did everything to ensure they bred a healthy litter, sadly that lacks in many NI breeders. I accept and am very sorry to hear that such a baby could have a tumour causing her death, whilst this is extremely rare and would be of concern, its something I can accept as a "one off" my heart goes out to her breeder in this case, I would of however made 100% sure I had a diagnosis to make damn sure it was something confined to that dog and could not be something passed on. The other pup, DID have lumps. The owner/breeder stated one on her neck had come up like a "tennis ball" this is TYPICAL vWD symptoms, spontaneous heamatomas through being bumped or knocked are COMMON. The o/b also stated she was "bleeding into her joints" again 100% typical vWD symptoms (and other clotting disorders) I sincerley hope for the entire breed that the RESPONSIBLE breeder has has ALL the siblings and the sire and the dam tested for clotting diseases, its the ONLY way forward given those symptoms. If the Vet has failed to pick up on the possibiliy of a clotting disease, GO ELSEWHERE, because those symptoms are crystal clear to me and I co own a vWD AFFECTED Dobermann!
Thing is you asked Ursula about Zella and she disapeared then did werewolf when asked about her dog. You ask about the autopsy results and still nothing. Talking about avoiding the issue.
Maybe some people have got fed up with being questioned about everything and left or maybe they didn't want to answer just so the answers could add more fuel to the fire x And yes I know everyone wants answers x
Jem your good at speaking on behalf of NIS members as proved above could you not get answers for us? And why dont they put the fire out then instead of hiding there heads in shame and not answering.
I almost feel sorry for you Kcjack but then I realise to myself that you are not a simple victim of false information, you are a bitter and twisted individual, all because your dog of unknown origin, whom you rescued was not a good example of the breed he may be and could not be used as a Stud dog, so you cannot make money from him. So you go on a deliberate campaign to upset owners and breeders who actually care about the breed. I do not have to justify myself to you. You are not even worthy of mentioning my Silver Shadow so refrain from it in future. As for Zella's pups, SC held the stance that for a first litter registered with TIDA Dams and Sires do not have to be hip scored, fact. SC tried to push Urs into having a litter from Zella before she was scored and said TIDA would register them, FACT, did Urs do this, of course not. Go ask TIDA if you don't believe me. Why am I staying away from these ANTI NID threads? Because I am sick and tired of the Kcjack /SC 'Anti NID Campaign'. I have better things to do. I have three lovely NIDs and they are more deserving of my time than some bitter and twisted people.
Im not speaking behalf on anyone but myself. I personally dont see why I should get answers for someone who will twist them and turn them into lies. As for the second question please see my above answer I speak for myself and have my own opinions x
Please refrain from personal insults werewolf if you dont mind. I am not bitter and twisted I am out to find the truth. I had no intention of mating Kato if you look at the thread your talking about it was hypothetical I was proving that the NIS dont breed on the dogs but by the people who own them. I think you will find the sick and twisted people are breeding dogs for money without relevant health checks and selling to unawares buyers. The fact your Ni died mysteriously at a young age but wont discuss why speaks volumes people are not stupid they can read between the lines. The fact that no one will discuss the autopsy results from the pups that died speaks volumes although I suspect that they didnt have one as would cut into the profit to much. Have you seen how many pups have been born in last few months and thats not all the ones at beginning of year from such a small gene pool, seems odd to me more like a money making conveyer belt.
what happened to werewolfs dog has nothing to do with you or is it suspicious. he/she was her beloved pet and she has the right not to tell others about her heartbreaking experience. what happened to those poor puppies bless their souls is also none of your business. these poor people cannot grieve or the pups rest in peace because of you making slanderous and disgusting posts. one of my pets died at a young age last year, do you want to know about that? no i suspect not as he was'nt an NI. i wish you would find a hobby and leave this awful matter alone so these poor people can weep for their lost pups. i would never give someone like you autopsy results if one of my beloved pets died, you are a sick and twisted individual and would just turn it in your favor
I do not know much about the N.I, but it does seem that they will suffer the same fate that many other breeds that have a fairly quick rise in popularity in a short space of time have suffered from....e.g a whole range of illnesses and other issues, but nothing will be done until lots of dogs have suffered.
