Well if you chose to ignore whats under your nose that is your choice but unfortunatly the NIs have proven they are not forth coming with information hence the concern.
Seems you are a proper NIS member Razcox yours posts are becoming more aggressive and abusive.

Yes Mys. When you have a vWD problem you DNA test (with swabs from dogs cheeks) they come back, clear, affected or carrier. Clear dogs cant produce affected puppies. Clear to clear will be 100% clear litter. Clear to affected will be 100% carrier litter. Clear to carrier will be 50% clear and 50% carrier. Carrier to affected will be 50% carrier and 50% affected. Carrier to Carrier will be 25% Clear, 50% Carrier, 25% Affected.

One test for the whole of the dogs life and pups status can be detected by parentage. I think Heamaophillia is "sex linked" not sure how that works, GSD site will have info though.

Well i hope it isnt just that and I have to say I think KCJack has a genuine interest for the dogs welfare and wants to bring it to light.

Kcjack in my opinion you would get further if it didn't seem you were making a sensation of certain things you bring here from certain sources...I have been following the breed for years but you seem to have an awful lot of snippets to share - could they be from someone with an agenda using you as a go between - that's probably why people are getting upset??

Do you discuss these issues on TIDA forum at all? Or just here?

As for everyone else, aside from those with helpful knowledge I think there are too many cooks and not enough chefs [is that how the saying goes? I don't think it does but you know what I mean] If people can't say more than the odd niggly [?] remark at each other they should quit talking who ever they are.

?? In fairness I haven't seen that? I see alot of the great hip scores being celebrated in there too. It's better to look at the whole picture.

I ask you that kcjack as the IDA forum seems to have died a death - there are hardly any posts on there at all much less about health - this is something that concerns them as much as the NIS how come there are no discussions there?

I saw you made the other day on the IDA forum - but that was deleted?

I must admit i got a little bored on that forum, it just doesn't seem to be used at all. As much as we may all get PO'd by certain people or comments debate is healthy (on the whole).

I quit posting along time ago, maybe a few months after they started, after I annoyed people with certain posts such as when we would see a section on hip scores and other tests and such like. I always thought if you are going to say your not happy with how other people do things then you better be making a great example yourself - but I never felt I saw that and anything I asked I pretty much heard that it was members only information - i.e: you had to pay - gain access to a different part of the site and maybe then you might get to see some of these great things - where as I figured if that sort of information was available, you would want to share it with everyone.

Yes Wolfie I think you will find I posted the question on there about epilepsy in there lines and e-mailed Sc as wanted to know about the health issues in the breed.

I've got a swab kit here Dawn. I was sent it to send off for research into epilepsy but would I be able to have it checked for VWD too.

This is no way saying that I believe or disbelieve any of the posts made regarding this disease and I know for a fact that if either of these babies did suffer from VWD then it will be posted when the owners know. Both breeders breed for HEALTH and temperament, first and foremost.

The most impotant thing to me is MY dogs health and I will test for whatever I need too (as well as anything else that can be linked)

In the meantime, encroaching on owners grief is pretty low. They've gone through enough without all of this
