I am awake thank you! What I'm saying is that many other dogs have been added to the original NIs that were used, and also that TIDA have used dogs in their breeding program that the NIS would never have used - just take a look at their patchy stud dogs proudly displayed on their websites. If epilipsy was rife within the breed as opposed to within certain factions, then the NIS would have as many cases of epilepsy as the other factions - which clearly they don't. From this, I would deduce that the epilepsy is coming from lines that the NIS has not bred from - hence the much, MUCH lower incidences of epilepsy within the NIS compared to TIDA and other factions.

I'm sorry it IS point scoring there was no other reason for that post and you should be ashamed of yourself!

The two pups have different illnesses and symptoms ( a point you chose not to mention  ) and everything is being done to try and help. In every breed its a sad fact that pups do get ill. My BIL springer has a pup at deaths door ( we are all hopeing she will pull through) who is only 7 weeks but that is also not related to her breeding. . .

I'm sorry but you have sunk to a new low with this and i am disgusted by it

"They seem to think Tala has contracted muscles this is causing her bones to grow deformed"
"Little Tala seems to be struggling the last few days, her good leg keeps locking a bit and i thik is having trouble holding the weight of her hind end"
And puppy also had a large mass on her body as well.

This 6 week old puppy is being PTS this week

To be fair KCJack, this doesnt sound the same. Although I appreciate the "lump on body" sound suspicious if you want to link it to a heamatoma.

I feel so desperately sorry for these dogs.

Well you need a wake up call as does Gem politics and all the rest of the bull shouldnt matter when pups are dying. I would say anyone who doesnt think this information should be made aware of are the sick individuals those pups should not die in vain.

Without disrespecting the memory of the poor puppies...

Do you know if this can happen randomly in any breed or do you think for any reason it is because they are NI? I am really trying to make out if things that happen should scare people off the breed or if these things happen every day in other breeds but because we all get to hear about what happens with NI that it makes it seem worse? Do you know what I mean?

They may not have anything to do with each other but should be heavily investigated immediatly and all the lines compared before any more dogs are bred.

Made aware of in a public forum by some one who has never met the breeders or spoken the them and has no infomation direct?? NO I DO NOT!

The only sick individual is you on here, my god do you have no feeling for the poor breeders of these pups who have tried to save them? How would you feel when Bobbie had just died people blaming you for it and implying the things you are?

    Yes I agree with that.

Please let it be known, that I fully understand how upsetting it must be for anyone to lose a puppy so young and I have great sympathy for that. But in the interests of the dogs you have I would stress tests on all the relatives, siblings etc.. is imperitive and if the Vet in question hasnt suggested that a pup bleeding into its joints and has "swellings" for no reason, may have a clotting disorder, Id be out of there in seconds and find one that is more experienced!

My concern is with the pups not the breeders I am afraid.

And regarding Bobbi I received a pm from a NIS follower stating she was better of dead than with me so dont even go there with me Razcox. And she knows who she is.

And yes made public as people may be able to help and shed light or have experienced such things and potential buyers be aware but most importantly find out why its happening.

The breeders maybe taking these very steps, no? Or may be planning to. It was heartbreaking for them like it would be for any of us .

Thanks Dawn. So if it was what affected the puppies...It is a test that can be carried out and dogs from now on could be detected for carrying it? If so, hopefully they will include it in the tests for the breed.

I can see your point an i know it will be looked into, my point is that this is still raw and kcjack is not telling the whole story and is using the pups to further her peronal vedetta against the NIS. This to me is wrong. It is not the time or place to discuss this yet. Allow the people involved some time to grieve and treat the subject with the sensitivity it warrants. . . .

You are extremley patronising and myself and rachel KNOW what we are talking about and DO NOT need to spy on forums just so we can use it against a breed we own!

Well that's sick and stupid. People getting personal has nothing to do with the breed - anyone wasting their time to make stupid comments have forgotten about the dogs and are just out to fight with one another - that goes for everyone / anyone. I would say that a person that annoyed me is better off dead, not the poor dog though!

Not sure if connected but another of Honiahaka had a tumour the dog concerned was Bear is he related to the recent pups as seems strange both had tumours.

"Bear has either a Histiocytoma or a Plasmacytoma and is benign"

So we know the foundation for what you are saying, what/whom is your source of information?

kcjack has been added to my ignore list. Such debase insensitivity after already being warned about is inexcusable.

This is a thread about the differences between the NIS and TIDA. It is NOT a thread for kcjack to score points and air her personal vendetta against the NIS using the miserable tragedies of other members during their time of grief.

Tests ARE being carried out and the problems associated with these puppies are being investigated VERY seriously. Anyone with concerns should contact the NIS directly, or wait until news comes back which can shed light on the FACTS of the matter.

Kcjack can say what she wants - IMO NONE of it is worth reading or crediting with an answer anymore. YOU ARE IGNORED because you deserve to be. Your behaviour DISGUSTS me.
