Hi there I would like some advice I have a gorg rescue Kia ... who looks like a husky x but yesterday i was walking her and some strange woman came up to me and told I had a inuit dog!!!!! What is an inuit dogs ... in english please!!! I'm tryin to post a pic of her but dont know how to do it yet!!!
Inuit means Eskimo as I am sure you know so I expect the woman meant you have a dog from the artic circle, which of course you don't, smile nicely at people like that you meet and walk on, they are happy they are right and you know they are not. PS there are dogs called Eskimo or Greenland dogs but I don't know of any pure breed called Inuit as it is the name of a race of people not dogs.
Think she (strange or not) meant Northern Inuit dog, which is a breed of dog that is not recognised by the kennel club. Or she could have meant Eskimo dog. Think she would have been just a little bit odd to think that any dog was an Inuit So if someone asked if a GSD cross was an Alsatian does that mean it is a French man lol
Looks to me like she could be a Northern Inuit. Since some Northern Inuit breeders allow crossbreeding in their breeding programs, she could be a husky cross too.
Yeah olderhill kennels are quite close to me so they will be to flash's mum aswell. She's a nice looking dog x
I have 2 olderhill dogs, but as it is very difficult to tell as we can only see her from the front it would make it impossible to tell if she is related, i have not seen any white dogs from Olderhill Kennels though! But if you could please post colour pics showing her side ways on to the camara and one of her moving towards you that might help!
Hi I'm not sure what this lady may have meant but i think you could b right in thinking you have a northern inuit dog as these are becoming very popular at the moment are due to become kennel club recognised i have one who is white with ginger freckles on her ears and head she is a 7 year old bitch who came from Manchester i was told that her litter mates were all tri coloured like huskys, she has husky, malamute and gsd in her and was told that they were made years ago buy breeding a wolf with a German shepherd(I'm not sure if this is true??)but they are beautiful dogs that are very loving energetic and loyal but not the best guard dogs lol i hope this helps a little!!
