Yes Patch your browser is telling fibs Sorry Sallinlancs, but I've had proof that some NIS Reg NIs are not bred true to type, some have been crossed back to Mals, some GDS, some Sibes and some Czech wolfdogs Infamous Inuits, I notice you said all your pups go to people with contracts saying pups can't be bred from ! Surely when buying an illegal wolfdog or the Husky X Mals that you sell, you can't enforce anything, as the paperwork isnt registered with anyone, therefore they are free to breed as they like ! PLus a 'Huskamute' (Husky X Mal) isn't a northern 'type' breed, it's simply a crossbreed of two Northern dogs ! Sorry to seem pedantic, but I'm stressing about tomorrow !
I was responding to this post in particular: As I said, a NIS registered NI is bred from Northern Inuits ONLY as the NIS's Breeders' Code of Practice clearly states: The Northern Inuit Society does NOT allow the crossing of Northern Inuit’s with any other breed of dog – any breeder discovered doing this will be struck off the Society and no more litters will be registered to that person/kennel. Patch, I believe it IS on topic as the original poster indicated she was not sure whether all the dogs she has seen were actually Huskies or not: Many people mistake my dogs for Huskies and it's possible that the increase in number the OP has seen is down to not recognising the difference between Huskies, Mals, NIs or any of their crossbreeds. jorjamae1, I disagree with you, but will start a new thread or this one may go off topic.
And as I said...l.regardless of what some NIS chairperson says, there are people with registered NIS dogs crossing them with other breeds, and I have seen the evidence with my own eyes that the resulting pups were also registered with the NIS
jorjamae1 - After reading through the applicable rules of the forum I am not sure now whether a new thread on this topic is permitted. I'll have a better look into it when I have time. Malady - thank goodness you thought to get proof! Please will you share this with us?
Indeed. I didnt ask for it, it was offered to me I've shared a lot about this breed, as you will see if you read old NI threads on here. And no, Dogsey rules don't permit NI discussions as such any more, so I'll leave it there :003:
The claims I made about the NIS's breeders' code of practice are in writing for anyone to see. The claims you made about them being flouted remain unverified. Given the evidence provided, I know which of the two arguments I'd believe........ I'm guessing from the following post (in the Non-recognised breeds section rules) that the type of accusation you made is also out of place here.
You mentioned NIs in this thread, long before I logged on, so I guess that Rule applies to your statement about them too. Anyway Rules is Rules, this is off topic, so I will not be drawn into yet another argument by another NI discussion, as they always go the same way.
Please take note of the rule: You will notice that I have not said anything negative about any breed. I mentioned NIs because the OP was not sure whether there ARE more Huskies about, or whether there are more Husky type dogs. As many people often mistake my NIs for Huskies, it's possible that all the 'Huskies' the OP has seen lately are not purebred Huskies, but other breeds (such as NIs or Mals for example) or crossbreeds that have a similar look.
I don't need reminding of 'The Rules' So pleased you are taking such concern with them, being a new member
My post wasn't directed at you it was mainly directed at infamousinuits, as quoted by infamousinuits: ive noticed that most husky people though think that even pure bred NI are still mongrels and cross breeds. (it says so on his website. i own both huskies and czech wolfdogs, but i never cross my huskies with them they are seprate to me. it can be ok to like both types of breeds! They can not be called a pure bred NI as its still not a recognised breed, well done for tying to get these dogs on the recognised breed list but at the moment they are in fact still crossbreds, sorry, but thats my opinion. I dont want to get into a heated debate over this and as Patch has said, this was supposed to be a thread about Siberian Huskies, i like to read everything i can get hold of about the breed that is so dear to my heart, if i want to read about NI's then i'll go to the non-recognised breeds or crossbreeds section. You sallyinlancs like to point out rules to people and thats fine, but you cant sway people to your way of thinking by pushing them in that direction. NI are probably the breed closest to your heart and thats great but not everyone will agree with you, just like some people dont agree with me about sibes, everyone has a breed that they love the most, everyone is different that's what makes us unique.
I am not trying to sway people to my way of thinking by 'pushing them' in the direction of following the rules. I was merely trying to point out that any negative comments about a breed (recognised or non-recognised) are supposed to be kept to the relevant breed section. I have already explained why I felt my posts were relevant by referring to the OP and I have not said anything negative about Mals, Huskies, NIs or any other breed here. Do the rules only apply to new members? If not, then surely I was right to point out that Malady wrote a post that was clearly making negative comments about NIs.... in the WRONG section of the forum.
No rules dont only apply to the new members Malady didn't write a post making negative commets, i have re-read that thread over and over and i cannot see anything negative in her comments, i think you are seeing something that is clearly not there. We are all here on this forum t help each other out not argue with each other but sometimes people come on here spoiling for an argument or are a little too sensative and take things to heart. Everyone here is really very friendly so why dont we just leave this where it is and not turn it into another closed thread.
well I expect I will get banned again for having a non recognised wolfy breed, and an opinion, so I am beyond caring D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F
Don't be so pathetic! And how mature of you to post the dilligaf - if you really don't care then I will happily close your account for good! You can also start by telling us why yet another account used the same pc as 'arctic.wolf' ???? In particular, the one that posted this: http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?p=1381562#post1381562
It's not against the rules to have an opinion, it IS however against the rules to vent your opinion inapprpriately, ie, being personal to a member or discussing a banned topic. I had and aired my opinion in the correct fashion, it IS allowed Thankyou ;-) . I too have reread and can't see the issue ! Oooh me, me, me
