Thanks everyone, it took the big man a long time to recover but he's looking alot brighter today.
It must be the bigger the dog the softer they are ;)

I spoke a bit too soon, he went a bit downhill this morning so rushed him off to the vets. He's got a lot of swelling so he's had an antibiotic injection and pain killers also sporting the very leg offencive lampshade:(
He's got to go back on Monday to check everything is still ok.
    He's better now in himself.
I was really bowled over by his weight 49kg and he's not overweight just a very big dog.
I call him my big baby bear...now without balls ;)

Thanks Janet, he's slept most of the day, since getting back. The injection must of helped him initially but now he must be 'mending'.
When we got back he played hide & seek with a bone, teasing Eska to try and get passed his lampshade. It was hilarious to watch their antics, I thought he'd mastered it untill he barged past everyone and took us all down like tenpins.

Poor Tikaani. Your big pal Skye sends big hugs and say's if you're missing them too much he can soon have Fingal's popped in the post.

My poor big man, smashed his lampshade within 12 hours and is very not well still.

Is this normal? He's back at the vets next week but I worry as he isnt the same dog?

Oh I'm so sorry to read this. Maybe it's just a reaction to the op, the pain, the strangeness? Is he okay otherwise - appetite? Drinking? Exercise?

Yes hes back to eating and drinking normally, I took him back to the vets on Monday and he had antibotics and pain killers.
His personality is so different. Maybe he has grown up and lost his puppyness?
