I quite agree, THATS MY POINT!!
There have been posts about wolf username's etc on a DOG forum

I have just proved that TIDA also state wolf looks were the original intention in breeding of the NID and posters here have said that NIS members may advertise as wolf look a likes.

But the thing is we do not know if Cheyenes stud dog is actually a true northern inuit as I have a copy of his hip score certificate and it lists him as a british inuit which we all know can contain CWD. So perhaps her dog does contain wolf.

I have to agree, I was hoping to get answers to questions, I could not give a hoot about the clubs involved, I want to know for sure that the dogs' health is at the heart of these people, but all I am finding out is that they would be prepared to lie to cover for god knows what.

Before anyone jumps on the bandwagon I am sure you love your dogs but I am not seeing that as the reason to why they were introduced as a breed.

Why would a NIS registered breeder say that "The Northern Inuit is a rare breed which is in the process of being recognised by the KC"? When there is no basis for that at all, try as they may KC recognising the NI is a long way off. If no one can answer me that then I am to assume it was said to sell the puppies.

This is true. I remember when the litter was born. And Marie, wasn't your British Inuit Dog the last one left when you went to pick? Not a brilliant basis for a stud dog. Obviously you never know how a dog will turn out but you would think someone serious about breeding would want to have a good choice when picking their future stud dog.

Yet on a site promoting the breed a comment there states that wolf content is unknown, `the unanswered question` and that they, [ the organisation concerned ], are proud of it. A comment I found bizarre and which was ignored when I posted the quote [ and others ] on another thread, in fact all the queries and comments I posed on it were completely ignored :?

This was one of the things I asked about, [ which went unanswered ].
As far as I could find, [ which I did post a quote and source from on another thread ], the original founder dogs were random strays - no health tests done and no actual confirmation of what breeds or suspected mixes those strays were in the first place.
Let alone no response regarding the dreadful lack of ethics of breeding from strays, [ therefore rescues - supposedly ].
Not the best grounding for a new breed imho, and that spurious origin is presumably the reason for so much secrecy now - the shameful start of the breed :?

[ thats not a slur on the dogs themselves by the way, I love all dogs, none of this is their fault ! What I don`t like is the human secrecy and smoke-screening which surrounds the breed ].

As I have said before, things can`t move on until originator breeders come clean and give straight answers, then get their acts together to progress with squeaky clean ethics and a fresh open start.

Its on public record elsewhere too.

Iirc it has been turned down once already and a minimum timescale given, [ 5 years I think ? ], to start doing whatever is necessary for KC recognition before application can be made again ?
I might be wrong, [ might even be thinking of another breed altogether, I can`t remember for sure :?: ], so if anyone can clarify either way I would appreciate it :smt001

Why does this advert exist then?

The Northern Inuit is a rare breed which is in the process of being recognised by the KC & will then be able to be exhibited in the rare breeds classes. The puppies will be registered with the Northern Inuit Society which is the only recognised body for this breed.
