Considering a vast majority of the founder dogs were bred by the head of the NIS... who`s responsible for the health problems we are seeing?

TIDA are trying to sort out these problems.

It isn't very pleasant to see 2 sides of the NI's bickering and pointing the finger at 1 another.
As a complete outsider to the breed and the 2 elements that exist, your not doing your breed any favours.
You state your trying to sort any problems out for the sake of the breed, so why can't both sides put the dogs - breed best interests at heart and work for the greater good of the NI'S?

I have not seen bad mouthing of TIDA only truths being told.

I find it dispicable that a breeder, head of a committee, would have an unsold litter of pups and go ahead and have 3 more litters in succession within a very short space of time, with no potential purchasers for these litters. Then foster these pups out as they could not obviously look after them properly. The breed doesn't matter. My thoughts would be the same whatever the breed.

I can understand you have different views on what or where the NI as a breed should go in the future, but at the same time if you all love the breed and want the best for them in the future, i could think although you may not always agree you would work together and call upon the knowledge, experience best examples of health and nature to help the breed into the future.
Even if i didn't agree or like a person in my breed to help substain my breed with good well balanced dogs to be the future foundation i would try and work with them, for the breeds future.

You need to get your facts right, despite of your interference we are only talking about 2 puppies being fostered.

As I said, we were prepared and offered to do just that.

Can't you see the damage you could be doing to the dogs, you both care about your dogs and the breed but you fall out over them on a public board regarding the ethics of the breeding by the top members of your choosen groups.
Surely you can understand why outsiders who know nothing about the breed or the members/history of the clubs and why the split, would find it worrying.
If i was to own a NI i wouldn't know where to start or what to believe as fact or fiction because of the unknown thruths relating to the breed of dog.
I think it is a shame that those ppl who care and own the dogs, can't put their differences aside for the breed they love. There has to be benefits for both groups if you joined together for the dogs sake.

I agree with what you are saying, but when one group refuses to build bridges and work togeather for the sake of the dogs, what else can we do?

Just to pick up a point that Dawn made, if this breed was never created to be wolf like why do both the logos of TIDA and NIS have a wolf howling in the middle of it?
I thought the whole purpose of the breed was that it looked like a wold with no wolf content, is this now being disputed?

Isn't there any common ground you can build upon? As it is the only thing that matters to all of you is the breed and it is the breed, rep of the breed that is substaining the damage that is being done.
If you had or loved your dogs as much as i think you all do, then put your effort into the welfare of your breed, because untill you do alot of possible owners could be put of with the things they see, the same as getting kc registered.
I hope all members of both groups can see the damage being done, and take active steps to resolve it for the dogs sake, because they don't deserve the negative remarks or impression that surrounds them.

I for one would be happy for TIDA and the NIS to pull together, but it is easier said than done and impossible when only one group is willing to do it.

But you didn`t deny the fact that the head of the NIS created all the problems in the first place.;-)

That totally depends on WHO see's them as reputable:roll:

From what I can see.. (just caught up on the last 10 pages) its the NIS that is being bitchy towards the TIDA..

Maybe to help with clarification you could put TIDA NI or NIS NI on your dogs owned bit.. then we could figure out who's side who is on:shock:
