ask Wolfie as she pulled you up on it on the other NI forum... after your post was removed from Dogsey.
I am not going to get into any more conversations with you as you only seem to be wanting to cause trouble.
I agree Sal.Not at all necessary. I love the look of the NI but whever I read a thread to try and find out more it always seem to turn nasty. I don`t think I`ll bother again.
that`s why i generally don`t get involved.. i hate the stupid bickering and back biting surrounding the breed... it just got to me, the nasty comments about Elaine's dog... it wasn`t necessary.
Got to agree with Fudgeley on this one. I'm not knocking this thread but it is a current example of one where people have (for whatever reason) taken things to heart - perhaps it's the way people word things ? I'd certainly not put any of my three up to be shot at (two are cross breeds and the pedigree is just plain stupid) but aren't you lot discussing the finer points of a breed here which as yet doesn't have an agreed standard ? That's a question btw as i'm not really sure.
what about the constant digs shes having about me,or mabe your blind to that. i can assure you its not one sided
Agreement here from me as well. We all disagree at times but sometimes it seems to get personal, which in mho is uncalled for. All your dogs and we all have our pwn interpretations of the breed standard as I think this thread as proved.
all we done was answered the question asked, but also said her dog was lovely.nothing presumptous in answering a question
Im usually one for keeping my mouth shut but... This is another NI thread will undoubtably get locked unless it cools down somewhat. NI owners dont do themselves or the breed any favours with constant digs at others within the same breed!
Perhaps it's because there's no definitive 'right' or 'wrong' attributes so opinions naturally differ. ;-)
Well this is a shame for a breed that wants to become reckonised at some point.... anyhooow enough involvment on this one i think!
At the end of the day, we all think our own dogs are the best, some of us recognise that our dogs dont bring anything to the breed so we dont use them and they are pets. If you ask peoples opinions on wether or not their dog has stud potential, then you are inviting those opinions. We may not like what we hear and yet again, these threads turn into warfare. Kain is a lovely boy, but why arent you just happy for him to be a pet. Were you wanting to use him at stud?. Do you really care what other folk think of him, I personally dont give a toss if people dont think my dogs are good enough to breed from, I know which are and which arent, and if I'm not sure, I ask the people I think have the experience to know, but not on an open forum. Janie, I dont believe you were ever abused on the N.I forum, perhaps not until you chose to believe evrything your goddess told you and blindly followed her, and then took umbrage when she lost her position in the club. So, maybe that should be the end of it now, Elain, you know what people think, and the majority rule is that your boy is lovely, why not leave it there.
I thinks that there are a few untruths being spoken there Sue... but of course that follows on from alot of what the NIS say.
You two don't get on, and have your own opinions about each other, and what's gone on, but this thread isn't the place to debate it. I think you should both now agree to disagree as it's terribly Off Topic and getting too personal.
Totally agree, and did try along with others to keep the peace but as usual it goes over the heads of the [same] worst offender/s I for one, if I see just one more dig / insult / badmouthing etc will be asking [ nay, begging ! ], for the thread to be locked and will be doing the same on every future NI threads at the first hint of snarking, I`m sick of reading it quite frankly. Before anyone says `don`t read them then`, all mentors keep an eye on threads for any signs of problems, its part of the job, and the NI ones are always chore for us because of all the endless sniping. I will be asking Admin to put a zero tolerance policy on them and I don`t think I will be the only mentor asking for this to happen until everyone learns to behave like adults where NIs are concerned :smt091
I just find it very sad how this thread has turned out, would it have been the same outcome if Inks dog were a ped, kc recognised breed that she asked an opinion on? I don't think it would as people would say, "The standard calls for 'this', but your dogs is 'this'". I'm not putting NI down in anyway by saying that, I just feel the conflict comes as there is no set standard so who is to say her dog isn't good enough? It is just opinion really as going by the standard how many faults does he actually have compared to other dogs with faults being bred from? I think this is where it is coming from as there are no set rules as there are in a KC breed. The standard doesn't actually say 'should not look like a white GSD', infact it doesn't actually say much at all, so what are would be new breeders/stud owners ment to go by? Opinion of those 'in the know' and this is why it is so conflicting as those in the know seem to be bickering and falling out with each other left right and center, and then even going on and creating whole new breeds when they do fall out. I feel it such a shame as they seem to be lovely, beautiful, well mannered dogs on the whole. I will await being told to shut up as I don't know the breed...
I never argue with you However, I have to disagree on this. I've seen very similar arguments in my breed and a few other Mal owners on this Forum will back me up on that. It's the same old scenario, sniping, arguing, he said, she said, this 'type' is right the other is wrong, you haven't been in the breed long enough to know, you are too holier than thou'. Trust me, this still goes on in my breed which IS Pedigree, KC recognised ;-)
