Ralph...soon too be 6 months old. As he grows he is starting to look like a good example of an English Springer, in my eyes.

Life with Ralph these past few months has been great! I have vowed allways to have at least one springer *along with a terriers of course* around the place-they are utterly barmy, and may not be to everyone's taste-but i think theres no other breed quite like them!:D

Very much Rytex lines. Fantastic worker but can a be a bit "hot" when there are too many pheasants.

Like the thread - I prefer 'working' Springers to show dogs. My Avatar is Beau who's dead now but here's my current Springer (Fingal). He's a bit of a fatty but all his family are.

Meg is the one at the front who we have had since she was a pup, no idea of her lines came off a farm and the one at the back is Millie who also came from NESSR.

They are all gorgeous dog's...it amazes me the difference between springers-even the vast difference in some lines of field type!

Now here are some pictures from Ralph's walk today..he is nine and a half months, or so, old now..his mother was a show type..with a mix of show/field type breeding..his father a field type with pure field type breeding-would you say Ralph is more show type or field? Or somewhere in between the two?

I would say Ralph has the head of a show dog, the top is much more domed than the flat head of a worker, but he looks to be the same sixze as a worker
