Off the top of my head I believe the number of hereditary health problems that have been found in the GSD are nearing 50, not all in the UK. HD in it's self is not a heredity health problem rather the propensity to acquire it is, the possibility for poor or bad confirmation is hereditary and if the dog is badly made the chances are it will have HD that will cause a health problem.

It is a while since I had GSDs but one of the more known and common problems among those animals that were poorly bred was epilepsy.

    Thanks for that Pita :023:

I've seen a lot of badly bred GSD's over the years and it makes me so upset every time. One particular pup that came into rescue her legs were so bad she used to kangaroo hop. She was only 8 months old too
