Pit Bull Raid In The Midlands - warning shows dog's fighting General Chat

Can't find a direct story link, but heard on Midlands Today. Three men arrested, AND convicted of owning pitbulls/cruelty to the dogs and i'm not positive if they were convicted of actually dog fighting.
The dogs were in a horrible state, all sadly will be humanley put down it's such a sad state of affairs..
A man speaking on Midlands today from the court, I didn't catch who he was, made a statement which did get me though, about how the options were for the dogs to spend the rest of their mortal days behind bars in kennels, or be humanely put to sleep. Not much of a choice, but i know i very much would choose the latter tbf

that is so cruel i really dont know what to say,its pratts like these ppl that give bull breed owners bad names,and they should have been jailed not just banned from keeping dogs,one nasty,b had been banned before while the police were struggling to police his ban,how many dogs suffered at his hands,and the so what attitude stinks

I'd really like to beat the **** out of all of those involved to be frank. All I can say really.

Sorry but I would really like to put them in my living room and let my Dobes take revenge out on them B*s*a*ds on behalf of those poor little pit bulls that were made to fight each.

Another thing that have really pi**ed me off about this case is what sort of sentence is fours months in prison going to do.

Lets be honest here, what with the total mess the prison system is in at the moment, they will be released in only a couple of months, so where is the deterrent. They should of all got 10 years each.

Some of those dogs were also clearly petrified. The fact that the people were also kicking the poor animals to get them to fight says it all. People who are convicted of these should be banned from keeping any animals for life plus a hefty fine and long prison sentence.

They should all got a minimum of 10 years each.

I saw this on the news. Actually saw the video of the men holding the dogs by the scruff of the necks and forcing them to attack each other. Made me sick :-(

I agree with Colin, what is the point of a 4 month sentence. The law is next to useless if that is all they get. The guy banned from keeping dogs for 10 years had been banned before so that is obviously pointless too. The attitude of so what if I use my dogs for fighting should have got them a 10 year prison sentence not a 10 year ban from keeping dogs.:twisted:

Is it any wonder these dogs get a bad rep when there is ass holes like that around to turn them from loven kind animals into that :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: ahhhhhhhhhh they make me furious
A ten year ban thats nothing , ban the ****ers for life i say . oh give me a base bal bat and put them in a room with me and ill make dam sure they never own a dog again

Ban wont mean anything either Anne, because its against the person NOT the household, so any dogs can legally be owned by anyone that lives there.
