Because I know my dogs & I know the breed.

The fact is this has not been said to be a few planes but a "major fly in" Having been to an airshow myself & having heard the god awful noise I can only imagine it would be ten times worse for a dog given how much more acute their hearing is to ours.

I also know my dogs would lose thir marbles because Angel can't even stand the sound of a hissing bus never mind a bunch of planes and as people friendly as Misty is shes not good in over crowded places (gets stressed) & theirfore knowing their is a busy market close by, which would most likely stress her enough without the added pressure of noisy low flying planes whilst having to concentrate on other activities.

Don't get me wrong I'm not bitching, I think the line-up looks fantastic alot of planning has obviously gone into it I just don't think the venue its self is the ideal place for a dog show, purely from a dogs perspective.

I can't wait to go. I think the dogs will be so busy playing that they won't take much notice of whats going on around them. The planes won't be flying all day, so they won't disturbe the dogs too much. Can't wait to meet everyone who is going.

that was kinda my point lol. You know Angel and Misty and know it would be unsuitable for them. But dogs are individuals and what one dog doesnt like another loves! I know mine and personally i dont tend to take Vienna to noisy crowded places without Murphy because she gets stressed. However if murf is there too she's fine!

Vienna is also a NI, who as a breed love water.......but Vienna HATES it! She dosnt even like to get her tootsies wet in anything other than rain! But thats just her lol and she's a fruit loop

My point was simply that was while some dogs may not like it, im sure owners know their dogs well enough to make a decision about how they think their dogs will react. And they will go or not go accordingly. Also im sure that if an owner saw their dog as stressed out they would do something about it. So we're kinda making the same point here lololol  ;-)

I wouldn't have though it was obvious but after a comment like that I'm now intruiged!

I would say Sandra but given that shes at the show & Greyhound Lover is online I guess it would have to be someone closely involved with her (Mick perhaps?!)

I assume from your post you have had a falling out with TIDA or at least certain people within the association given the website that is ran by yourself is also down!

I know the show was held on an airfield. Do you have a plane? or did the show finish really early to enable you to go to the show and be back in North UK before 5pm to post about it?
