That is a shame Janie but look forward to seeing you at the cambridgeshire event in august.

Kristina you sound like me i send my other half in the ring with mani as he doesn't mind doing it and im not too keen. Hope you make it as we have a fantastic time, these weekends just get better and better. There is plenty of things Murphy can take part in too so he won't feel left out.

Glad your coming Lynsey. Will be alot of fun having Mani and Ty in the caravan together.

Well i dont mind taking Vienna in the ring as long as she behaves lol. And OH likes to show murf (just in the fun stuff though as he is a rescue) as he is a handsome boy and usually does ok. ;-)

Im afraid we wont be camping this time which im disappointed about. I've had an allergic reaction which we cant find the source of but just in case its something to do with the camping or the sleeping bags we're not camping. But we'll be there sunday. Could someone post listings of classes andshow/event times please?

Call me a bit stupid but isn't that a really bad place to hold a show?

In or near an air field with "Major fly in" would surely only serve to spook the the dogs.

And outdoor market on site - so its also gonna be busy & crowded which could also spook some dogs & limit off lead exercise for various reasons.

Well theres an awful lot of people keen to bring their dogs, im sure the dogs will be fine and will have a fantastic time as they always do at these events. I believe there will be a secure exercise area for the dogs so thats not a problem. We have also bought a paddling pool for the dogs incase its hot so im sure they will have a great time getting as wet as possible.

Its good they have a secure area to run in, but I'd still be worried about the dogs with all those planes flying over & the noise they will likely make.

I know I would't take my dogs into a situation like that they'd come back nervious wrecks.

im sure it'll be ok. its not like a major airport, it USED to be a fighter base and the site has been checked out and approved as fit for a show by the owners, all bases have been covered im sure. all those people will love the dogs im sure. bet u'll have a great show.

It's all well & good saying that the site as been checked out but to me it's the dog's that matter do you not think all that noise will not upset tham.

At the end of the day how do you know what your dog will react to until they hear/see/smell it? I had no idea if Vienna would react to thunder until we had a thunderstorm. I now know that she doesnt. I dont seen the harm in going. At the end of the day im sure that is any owner see's their dog upset by ANYTHING they will do something to rectify that, even if it means leaving without even doing anything.

When Vienna started to get too stressed at the NIS show i took her out of the rest of the classes i'd entered her in and played with her in the other field instead. Just because she got stressed after a few hours doesnt mean i shouldnt have gone at all!

Im sure all owners will do what they think best for their dogs.
