    Flame the Phalene

Meet Flame my new dog. She is a Phalene (drop eared Papillon). Pics aren't great, she looks so much better in the flesh, so gentle.

And with a friend at a local show.

Excuse my ignorance, are they classed as a different breed and can you show them? :?

They are the same breed and are shown in the same class as Papillons. Other shows held under FCI rules they have separate classes from the Papillon.
You can however get Phalene's from Papillon parents and vice versa.

What a pretty little thing :D

Fun fact for those who don't know: Papillon is French for butterfly, phalene is French for moth. Up ears/down ears see - clever!
