Here is a video I made of Anya, it has taken me all day because as I was finally finishing it Mishka came over & bounced her ball onto the power switch which turned computer off, so I lost it all & had to start again, oh well I like a challenge.

What are your sleeping arangements for Anya?

Lets just say that I look like a zombie from a relatively sleepless night.

Well lets just say I wont be seeing my bed for a while, im on the sofa with her in a bed on the floor. I look like  :015: too. I have to grab sleep when I can.

The crate is a no go for now, only used to feed her in to get her to associate it with good stuff. I had put her in there but she screamed blue murder:089: and would not stop. She also got her teeth & jaw stuck  so she wont be put in there again in any hurry.

Same story here. She actually did sleep in there (willingly) just after we got her home. So I put her in there at night thinking she would settle down eventually. Of course she screamed for over an hour and I had to come down...it isn't fair on my other two.

Doesn't help that I have come down with some mystery sickness virus and spent half the night in the toilet either. Blurgh.

I'm thinking about putting her and our Yorkie in the conservatory uncrated. I don't think having two young dogs loose at night is particularly constructive for toilet training though. :?

Re the crate, have you considered putting it in your bedroom next to your bed? It's the first time I've done it this way (past pups were placed in the kitchen and left to scream the place down!) and it's working brilliantly. Oscar's been home 6 days and last night he slept right through from 9pm til 6am without needing to go out for a wee, pretty amazing for a pup of 8 weeks! He whined for the first couple of nights, but now he's quite happy knowing that I'm close by and I sleep better knowing he can't do any damaage or pee anywhere!

Oh and cute Poopie btw. :049: :D

I would if the crate fit in my room. My bedroom is tiny unfortunately.

I am hoping that she is a little calmer tonight. She was quite stressed out yesterday (understandably) which probably contributed. Much more relaxed today. I have moved the crate into a corner of our laundry room, put a cover on top and will be leaving the radio on. Our Yorkie will also be in there with her in her own crate. So, I'll see how it goes tonight. If not I'll be back on the sofa with her.

Know exactly where you're coming from there! There's just enough room in my bedroom to fit a crate in and still actually get into my room to sleep!

We actually had a pretty good night last night. She barked and whined for a while but then she went quiet.

oh labradork, this isnt a virus,i think your have a very serious allergy to little grey hairy pups so id better come and get her shes lovely and as for the crate mine hated being shut in and sceamed and screamed and chewed the side of the crate trying to get out till she was making her mouth sore so i had to give up and leave the door open and after the forth night she did sleep ,but she loves her crate now and chooses to sleep in it she just didnt like being closed in and just use match sticks to keep your eyes open, best of luck ros

Take her away! Nah, in all seriousness, she seems totally fine now. Spends most of the day playing away with our Yorkie. The Lab wants nothing to do with her and growls every time she comes near...grump sod. Last night she did eventually settle in the crate, so fingers crossed she does the same tonight.

One of them has got to be the one at the back...hairy. :)

I have to say, she is being really good. REALLY good. I was expecting a holy-terror-on-legs like puppy. My Lab was nuts from 8 weeks to three years. Maybe it is just early days yet, but Bo (which is what I have named her) is happy to settle in the evening; something the Lab never did for the first year especially. She is also getting to grips with toilet training. I may well be a fluke, but long may it continue!

:) Anya is sleeping in the crate now & doesnt mind, Mishka is sleeping on a bed next to her. It took a week for Mishka to bond with Anya & now she loves her.
