    HI Jon & Sue
I din't get the automatic reply email that I used to get so I did not know anyone had posted to this thread. I re-homed Freya today whilst at the fun day in Yorkshire. I knew from Mick that a couple were very interested in having a bitch puppy and that they were coming to look at the breed. They were a nice couple and had two other dogs which Freya enjoys. They live on a farm and are planning to work with her, which is what I wanted for her. I will talk to them
about joining both the SRHP club and the forum so that we can all follow her progress.

    Hi All,

sorry for being out of touch... had alot on..

Hattie is doing really well... she is now almost 4 mths old and has settled in very well with our 2 norwich terriers. She forgets herself sometimes and has to be put in line by one of the other 2! House training is almost over, except she gets blinkered around food time and forgets to go outside and gets caught short!

Talking of food, she wolfs it down!! as if we starve her and she has not been fed in days!! it bearly touches the sides.

We had NO runny tummies.. except for when she eats something disgusting and then feels unwell for a day or so... you can always tell, she just lies in her bed looking sorry for herseld and groaning!! soon passes and it never stops her from eating, although we do put her on boiled rice for 24hrs which she is not so keen on!

We started puppy training a few weeks ago, but they are now shut for christmas, but we have been practicing at home and she is getting all the basics well. In march we hope to do one of the "gundog club" training courses.

here is a pic of her being calm on her first day at home.

Please send healing thoughts to Grey's brother Gunner. He's in the vets on morphine to try and deal with his severe neck and shoulder pain that has flared up again. It's been a mystery condition he's had since he was 9 months old. The boys are 1 year old tomorrow and it's heartbreaking he's so poorly.

    Lou,

I am so sorry to hear about Gunner its so sad, poor boy. Its is devastating when your dog is ill, especially when you dont know what it is thats causing the pain. His owners must be in bits.
I hope they find out what it is soon so they know what they are dealing with & how to treat him for it.
Please keep us posted as to how he is, I send him healing & pray he will be better soon.

    Hi Dawn,

will do. I have talked a bit about slovak pain issues with Mike Urban in slovakia and also another UK breeder. They have heard of a few cases. Perhaps something like reactive arthritis following GI infections. In slovakia they suggested too close breeding might be at fault. But at the moment, who knows. It's very sad in any case and we just hope he comes through.
