Hi, I have a liver/white Enlish springer Spaniel. Is it possible that it is a try colour? At first glance/low light you can't see the eyebrows but in the sunlight you can. Right now it is subtle but i'm sure its there. Is this normal ? Will it become more pronounced later ? Just curious, i'd love to hear some oppinions.
Hello SChampagne welcome to Dogsey. How old is your dog? I am guessing it is a puppy, can you post a picture. You are asking if it could be a tri colour, if it is a puppy the colour will develop more as it grows so yes it could be even though the colours are not all very pronounced as yet
Cool that's what i wanted to hear. I've got his mug on a few posts all ready but this is my 10 week old pup. LOKI
Hi Stephanie Your Springer is lovely but I too think it is liver and white rather than a tricolour. If you do a Google image search for tricolour springers you will see what one should look like.
He is, but what i was wondering if the eyebrows might get lighter in time. In sunlight he has the light patches on his eyebrows, so i realize that he'll never be a REAL tri colour but there is a teaser there now.
Oops sorry Stephane it was very late when I replied! ;-) I don't really think the eyebrows will get lighter but you never can tell. He looks a delightful puppy anyway..
my millie is a springerxcollie her dad is liver and white and her mum is black and white millies all black adn white except her tummy which is white with brown spots on - looks really cute!!! shes not a tri though!!!
Schampagne............ When I saw your Pup......or to be exact, when I saw your pup's markings........I couldn't help post an on old pic (lower right) of a Spaniel I used to have. Phil
If he was a true tri colour he'd have tan patches at the side of his face too. Here's a pic of a tri springer. As you can see the tan is quite obvious! Becky
