Today was the first of the court hearings for those dogs siezed in the Merseyside amnesty/traversty.There were no verdicts today and the courts will sit again tomorrow.I will keep those of you interested informed as much as i can.So please spare a thought for what those poor people and their pets are going through and keep your fingers crossed for a good result please.
It must be dreadful what there going through:-( Positive thoughts to those going through this for a successful outcome. Steve,it would be great if you could keep us updated.
Did they give a reason why they didn't give a verdict? Seems a bit uneccessary. Are they dealing with them individually or together? Becky
To my knowledge they are dealing with the cases individually Becky,im sorry i don't know the reason why no verdict was forthcoming today,i only hope that it means good news as the cases arn't as cut and dried as the media had us believe.
It's cruel and so unnecessary, I really hope it's going to be a good out come. These owners and dogs have been through so much, Thinking of you all xx
Hopefully it might be a good sign (even though the waiting must be torture for the owners), it might show that at least the Judge is thinking about the cases, and its not just a forgone conclusion. Well done to the DEED NOT BREED reps who were there to help and advise too, a few owners didnt even know the group exsisted, so Im sure knowing they had the reps to turn to helped make it a little less scary for them:smt001
Hoping the judge is sound and sane and these poor pet owners will be reunited with their loved ones soon!
I know FOR SURE that a couple of the dogs (I only know for sure about a couple) have been incredibly well trained and brought up. Everything crossed here.
