This year's One Man & His Dog will be screened on BBC2 16th December 6.10pm-6.50pm 17th December - 6.20pm-7.00pm
Yes 30 years of OM&HD - although the modern programme bears little resemblance to the old show (unfortunately).
Funnily enough, I was just going to post a review of this >>>> http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/877549/30_Years_Of_One_Man_And_His_Dog/Product.html which I bought this week. It's superb, as you'd expect, and features loads of BCs strutting their stuff - and not too much Ben Fogle (I've got nothing against him, but he's over-exposed on telly now). You get TWO DVDs, for only £5.99 - a total of 189 minutes! You know you want to! And it's Xmas! Snorri
Will do, BML, if Mrs S lets me have that much access to the TV! The first disc is of "past heroes", the second is a Scotland v. England v. Wales special contest (Scotland wins, which is only as it should be!). I know that I'm wrong, but I continue to regard BCs as "Scottish dogs" Probably because I'm Scottish, and because, ever since I was a toddler, the word "dog" just brings up a mental picture of a BC " we had one when I was still in nappies! Snorri
My sister treated me to this dvd earlier this year I love the first dvd - with Gus Dermody's past favourites but wasn't so keen on the second dvd - One Man & His Dog 2005 heats. The new show bears no resemblance to the shows of old - it isn't even a full trial :-( It's all a bit too gimmicky for me, but still worth a watch :-D
HI MOOBLI YES SPOT THE DOG WAS CHAMPION IN ONE MAN AND HIS DOG NOT SURE WHICH YEAR AND HES THE FARTHER OF MY TWO
I think Dyane maybe referring to Clarissa Dickinson-Wright, although I am not sure what is 'dreadful' about her?!
