Has anyone seen this? I think I remember Snorri mentioned it ages ago but can't find where now :? I've just seen it this week and I loved it I would recommend it to anyone that likes seeing border Collies work. The farmers dogs were all lovely :smt007 I think it would be great for anyone who is getting a Border Collie as a pet because it shows just how much work they were bred to do! I've only seen them working at sheep dog trials, never seen what they do day to day. It was amazing They are such clever dogs, I couldn't believe some of the things they were trained to do. And they really love doing it do Aswell as all that there are baby lambs and puppies Perfect!
I`ve seen it, [ theres a shocker lol ], its a cracking view of the dogs in their working as well as `off duty` environments, [ are collies doing their `proper` job every day ever really off duty ? ]. Yep, very collie owner and every one wanting a collie should watch it
http://www.dogsey.com/showthread.php?t=24606&page=2 Hmm think it was me ;-) It's a great dvd. I met David Kennard at the English National, and he is a truly lovely guy. If you enjoyed the dvd, you may well enjoy his books as well - I did. He has written two - and signed a copy for me I was sad to learn that Greg died last year though :-( He was my fav dog out of David's crew and is distantly related to my own collie.
Oops sorry Moobli That's a shame that Greg has died, he was a lovely fluffy thing I did guess by the date it was made that he would probably have gone to rainbow bridge now :-( Do you know what the books are called? I will look for them! I don't think those collies were ever really off duty patch They always seemed raring to go even when they weren't supposed to be doing anything!
Sadly Greg died after David's wife ran over him This is David's site Here's a photo of Greg with my Rjj's Breeder Roy Goutte
Oh that's sad :-( They must have been devestated. Lovely photo Thanks for the site, I'm having a look now.
OMG is that true??? David never said that - just that he had died last year :-( Poor lad, that's awful David did say that Greg was a once in a lifetime dog and he doesn't think he will ever have another as good as him again :-(
Hi there, I've seen this advertised before, and fancied it from the start. This may seem daft, but are there any upsetting bits in it? I only ask because we recently had to have our collie put to sleep, and I don't think my beloved could cope with watching it if any of this guys dogs were killed or the like....
Greg died last year & the DVD was made quite a while before that so I don't think there would be any mention of his dead
Sorry for your loss :-( You are safe with this DVD though That's what I liked about it, no sad bits! All the dogs were still there in the update at the end
